Elkins Resort is a historic family destination resort located on the sandy shores of Priest Lake. Since 1932, we offer family vacations, conferences, retreats and weddings. The resort has a restaurant, lounge, gift shop, store, marina and 32 log cabins on 30 acres of forested land.
Just south of the Canadian Border, in the Kaniksu National Forest, on Priest Lake.

We offer a positive upbeat environment located in a pristine wilderness lakefront setting. Elkins Resort has 32 individual guest cabins, a lakeside restaurant, lounge, gift shop/store, marina, boat rentals, and long sandy beaches. The resort opened in 1932, hosting families for vacations, weddings and company retreats with excellent customer service and quality products.
We are looking for outgoing energetic people to interact with our customers to provide an outstanding vacation. Many of our summer staff are college-age students and are eager to participate in group activities. We invite you to become a part of our team here at Elkins Resort on Priest Lake.
The Employee Experience
Being an employee at Elkins Resort is an amazing experience. You meet people from all over the country and other countries as well. Find like-minded friends to go for a hike, find new single track trails to ride your bike, or watch for shooting stars and the northern lights by the campfire.
Our crew works hard and plays hard. We expect to give a great customer experience along with a great summer experience. Elkins Resort sits on 30 acres of forested land right on Priest Lake. We have white sand beaches, incredible mountain views and endless exploring to do.
Our staff can take out canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for free. The water is comfortable swimming temperatures during the summer months and is clean and clear. If you like the outdoors, Elkins Resort is for you so see you this summer!

Room and Board
Employee housing is part cabins, part 8×12 bunkhouses and for the adventurous, we have a group campsite. We provide bedding in employee housing but not for the campsites. Housing includes kitchens with dishes, bathrooms with showers. Rent is $150 per pay period and is deducted from the paycheck. Space is limited, so get your application in early.
Most seasonal employees work five days a week, with two days off during their workweek, leaving plenty of time for fun. Seasonal bonuses are available for those who fulfill their contracts. Employees receive 30% off meals and in the gift shop. Rental equipment (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards) can be checked out for free. Local fishing guides are happy to take you out early in the season to show you all about Priest Lake fishing.
Getting Here and Getting Around
There is no public transportation at Priest Lake. It is ideal to have your own transport. We are 90 miles from Spokane, Washington, and 40 miles from the nearest “town” of Priest River, Idaho. Area businesses include restaurants, marinas, gift shops and small grocery stores. Elkins has free wireless internet, espresso and sits right on the sandy shores of Priest Lake.
There are endless amounts of water sports, hiking, biking and mountain climbing. Hook up with locals that have boats on the lake to wakeboard, waterski or surf. Bring your mountain bike for endless trails and roads to explore. Star gazing is amazing with no city lights to block out your favorite constellation or northern lights. Beach fires and 'smores are a must!
