Facilities Maintenance On Beautiful Orcas Island

Doe Bay is seeking an experienced candidate for long-term positions in our Facilities Department. The ideal candidate has some experience in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool water chemistry, or landscaping maintenance. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, work safely, use/maintain power tools, follow directions and work hard with little supervision.

Duties include but are not limited to: Minor plumbing, electrical, auto, carpentry, propane repairs, garbage dumping, weed-trimming, hauling tools and materials, spa chemistry, clean up, organization, landscaping. We will train the right candidate. Candidates must be confident that they can use tools safely! Fitting in with our company culture and being a hard worker and low drama is as at least as important as skillset. Attitude is everything!

Pay is depending on experience but between $21 and $22 per hour.

We have cabin and trailer options for living on-site including the use of a staff kitchen, bath-house, and lounge. Rent for our spaces is $220 but we also offer camping on raised wooden platforms, rent free, in the summer months. Most of our indoor spaces are private studio cabins.
