About Delaware North at the Grand Canyon

We operate retail stores inside of the Grand Canyon National Park, including Canyon Village Marketplace, Desert View Market, Trading Post, and the Tusayan General Store, a satellite store located one mile from the park gate in Tusayan, AZ. We also operate Yavapai Lodge with its 358 guest rooms, a newly renovated gift shop and front desk area, and an expanded food and beverage operation which includes a full-service bar.  

We offer retail sales, grocery, and hotel operations opportunities, including front desk workers, housekeepers, and food and beverage positions. Our mission is to provide each guest with the highest value for the products and services we offer, conduct business in a professional and ethical manner, and preserve and protect the park’s delicate resources.

Room and Board

Low cost housing available for $50 -$75 / week, including utilities, water, trash, laundry, and satellite TV. Each unit features two beds, a dresser, and access to a shared community kitchen with major appliances. Nearby, you’ll find free laundry facilities and Wi-Fi access points. Housing is conveniently located close to work locations, accessible via shuttle buses and walking paths.

While there is no employee dining room on-site, shared kitchen space is available for cooking your own meals. Be prepared to shop for groceries in the nearby village or travel to Williams or Flagstaff if you have a vehicle. Team members must be at least 18 years old to live in company housing.

Getting Here and Getting Around

The Flagstaff Airport is located approx. 80 miles from the Grand Canyon. The Flagstaff Express can provide direct transportation from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. From Phoenix, the Arizona Shuttle will take you to the Grand Canyon. 

It is helpful to have a bicycle while working at the Grand Canyon as there are many bike/walking paths throughout the South Rim. There are also free visitor and team member shuttle buses.

    Inventory Control Manager

As Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inventory-related activities across retail, grocery, and warehouse locations to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient inventory flow, and minimal shrink.     Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,900 – $76,800 / year

    In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.     What will you do?
    • Assign and coordinate daily tasks with receiving and operations teams

    • Provide support and training to team members, managers, supervisors and cashiers on inventory processes, systems and controls

    • Oversee receiving, storage, and transfer activity across all locations, ensuring compliance with First-In-First Out standards, especially for grocery and perishable items

    • Monitor inventory levels across all inventory locations, ensuring accuracy between physical counts and system records

    • Conduct regular spot checks and cycle counts at each store and identify trends and variances

    • Run end-of-month inventory reports; partner with retail managers, controllers, and billing coordinators to resolve variances between retail systems and the general ledger

    • Lead annual full-scale physical inventory counts across all inventory locations

    • Prepare audit documentation for finance and compliance teams

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding alcohol, sanitation, payroll, and employment

    • Ability to drive company vehicles throughout property

    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, retail operations or related fields

    • Experience in grocery or high-volume retail environments preferred

    • Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse management, full physical inventories, cycle counting, and auditing practices

    • Proficiency with POS systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience

    What will you do?
    • Experience serving guests in a fast paced food and beverage environment preferred. 

    • Greet guests and provide details on items for sale while using suggestive selling techniques.

    • Serve food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines.

    • Perform clean-up duties in work area and equipment.

    • Properly record all transactions via the point of sale system and cash sales, maintain bank.

    More about you
    • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.

    • Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders

    • No experience or diploma required

    Physical requirements
    • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand.

    • Prep and serve food and beverage items in correct proportions following all safety, sanitation and storage guidelines.

    • Participate in set-up, opening & closing procedures, including inventory and reporting. 

    • Clean and consistently maintain the quality appearance of the work area and equipment.

    • Properly record and account for all transactions via POS and cash and credit handling.

    • Maintain accurate cash count in bank and balance at end of each shift.

    More about you
    • Must enjoy working with people and preparing food. 

    • Dual role in food service and cash handling experience helpful. 

    • Ability to provide excellent guest service with friendly and effective communication skills. 

    • Must read prep sheets to accurately prepare food while using safe handling requirements. 

    • Should have good basic math skills to accurately account for cash and inventory.

    • Will work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Physical requirements
    • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. 

    • Will stand for the entire length of shift with frequent walking, bending, stooping, carrying, grasping and reaching.

    • Manual and physical dexterity to grasp items, operate cash register and safely use kitchen equipment. 

    • Exposure to kitchen environment temperatures with possible cuts, scrapes, burns, scalds, etc. 

    • Will use chemicals to clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
