The Appalachian Trail cuts through several of our locations in Shenandoah so there will be plenty of opportunity to greet guests and hear their hiking stories. Room and Board

Low-cost housing is available at Shenandoah at $35 / week with a refundable $100 deposit. Houses are dormitories with shared bathrooms and have free bed and bath linens, and free laundry facilities. Children and pets are not permitted in Shenandoah housing. We have a limited amount of housing, so we recommend applying early to secure your accommodation.

Getting Here and Getting Around

However you decide to travel to Shenandoah, these are the nearest travel hubs: 

  • Airport: Washington Dulles, VA approximately 90 miles away 
  • Bus station: Charlottesville, VA approximately 50 miles away 
  • Amtrak: Culpeper, VA approximately 60 miles away 

If you have your own vehicle, you are permitted to use it when you’re in the park. We also encourage rideshare with friends and co-workers. Additional transportation options at Shenandoah include: 

  • Several daily shuttle services to Luray and Stanley, VA 
  • Taxi services in Luray VA 
  • Scheduled trips to our different locations within Shenandoah 

We make sure that your work location is within walking distance from your housing area

Not only do you have access to guest recreation activities, but we have plenty of other fun experiences in Shenandoah:
