About Dairymen's
Established in 1925, Dairymen’s is an exclusive, member owned, resort club located on a private nature preserve in the heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The spirit of Dairymen’s is found in family and friends, and in the stewardship of the property. Our commitment is to protect the integrity of the ecosystem while enjoying the pristine beauty and bounty of the Northwoods.
A Dairymen’s vacation is as unique as it is inspiring. The 6,700 acres of natural beauty, reflected in seven clear lakes and miles of gravel roads winding through deep woods, is a Northwoods playground. Comfortable Northwoods guest cabins highlight nature’s beauty through every window. Dairymen’s is a place where our Members reconnect with family and friends and Mother Nature’s splendor. In today’s fast-paced world, Dairymen’s provides families with a special place to build a lifetime of memories.
The Employee Experience
Dairymen’s is a very special, friendly place to work and be a part of. Our Members have been vacationing and making memories here for generations. While they have high standards and expect an elite experience, our Members treat our staff like family and will be very curious to hear “your story”. It is an enriching and fun place to work, a place where memories are made for both our Members and our staff.
Located in the heart of the Wisconsin Northwoods, employees will have an authentic Northwoods experience. From seeing wildlife, to the dark skies and starlit nights, to the towering pines, the property is truly pristine and untouched. There are many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Due to the remote location of the resort and lack of public transportation, bicycles are provided for staff to use for recreation, a ride into town, or transportation to a second job.
Ideal Candidate
Staff must be friendly, outgoing, personable, and thrive in an environment where Member satisfaction is our priority. We are in the Member business first and foremost and are here to enhance our Members' experience. You will have a good deal of interaction with our Members in whatever position you are in. Staff must be focused on hospitality. We are here to help and to be of service to our Members.
Due to the location of our Club, you should have a love for the outdoors and the recreational activities that come along with the Northwoods Wilderness. Staff must be able to work well with others, learn quickly, and follow directions. You should be focused yet flexible, regimented yet easy-going, serious yet happy. Attitude is everything!
Room and Board
Dairymen’s staff cabins were constructed in 2017. Each cabin consists of 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms and can accommodate 3-4 people in each bedroom; a shared living room, kitchen, and laundry room; satellite television and wi-fi. No alcohol is permitted in staff housing or anywhere on the property. Smoking of any kind and use of other flammable liquids or products is also not allowed in staff housing. Staff are provided with 3 meals per day in the staff cafeteria. Current cost of room and board is $50 per week, withdrawn directly out of your paycheck. There is also a $100 refundable room and board deposit required. The deposit is also withdrawn directly from your first paycheck.
Employee Perks
Many parts of the property are available for Staff use as long as it does not interfere with Members. Staff can go hiking, biking, use kayaks, and paddleboards, or play tennis or basketball. There is also a staff fitness room.
Bicycles are provided for travel into Boulder Junction (about a 20 minute ride) or to use on the gravel roads on the grounds, or the paved bicycle trails off property. Vilas County has an extensive system of paved bike trails. Weekly transportation is provided for shopping in Minocqua for staff needing to pick up supplies.
Getting Here and Getting Around
We recommend flying into Rhinelander, WI (RHI), Wausau, WI (CWA), or Ironwood, MI (IWD) airports. We provide transportation from these airports to Dairymen’s. There is no public transportation available due to the remote location of the property. Personal vehicles are not encouraged as we have limited parking available. You can use the Dairymen’s bicycles or ship your own personal bicycle to Dairymen’s via UPS or FedEx.
