About Crooked Creek

Crooked Creek is a hidden gem located in the Wind River Mountains just 15 miles outside of Dubois, WY. It was built in 1997 with 17 cabins, a bar and restaurant, and an office/general store. The views from our property are incredible and we are just moments away from the Shoshone National Forest which offers so much for the outdoor enthusiast. Horseback riding, ATV and side-by-side riding, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, flyfishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing are just a few examples of the possibilities the forest offers.

The entrance to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons requires some travel but, the trip is breathtaking in summer and winter. From our location to the south entrance of Yellowstone is 78 miles and the entrance to Grand Teton National Park is 49 miles. World-famous Jackson Hole, known for its beautiful valley and mountain views as well as world class ski resorts is 81 miles from us.

Crooked Creek is in the perfect location for any outdoor enthusiasts who want to be near the parks and enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer without the hustle and bustle you'd find closer to the parks.

Crooked Creek is a family owned business where the owners care about the employee experience as well as the business maintaining and building a good reputation and being successful. At peak season 20 employees is ideal. We pride ourselves on not having a corporate structure and being approachable to our employees. You'll even see the owner's help where help is needed more times than not! Mike can often be found in the kitchen doing the dishes!

Along with the family oriented atmosphere, you'll be living in one of the most amazing places in the West. We are just two miles from the entrance to the Shoshone National Forest where you'll find an abundance of possibilities for outdoor activities along with the chance to see wildlife such as elk, moose, bears, fox, deer, wolves, etc. in their own element and we can't forget to mention the incredible views from pretty much anywhere you look.

40 hours a week is our goal, with two days off. We try to make those two days off consecutively but, it is the hospitality industry and it can be pretty unpredictable at times. Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly wage. Housing is provided for employees, some single rooms, and a couple dorm style situations. We also have a generous meal plan, if the employee works they get a meal valued at $20.00 and during their time off employees receive 35% off.
