About Cliff Dwellers Lodge

Located at the base of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in one of the Western United States’ most spectacular settings, Cliff Dwellers Lodge, Lees Ferry Anglers and Kayak Horseshoe Bend is a remote family-run operation that strives to provide our customers the best experience possible.

We're located along the road that connects the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon which attracts visitors from all over the world. In addition, it’s an easy drive to several other National Parks, Monuments, Lake Powell, and the Navajo and Hopi Nations. We are located on a strip of private land squeezed between Vermillion Cliff National Monument and Grand Canyon National Park.

Founded in 1989, Lees Ferry Anglers is a fly shop, guide service, rental boat, and equipment business that provides access to world class trout fishing and scenery.

Cliff Dwellers Lodge was built in the 1930's and originally served as a trading post. Today, the lodge continues to provide a comfortable lodging experience, and a friendly atmosphere for our guests.

Cliff Dwellers Restaurant is an award-winning restaurant that takes pride in serving great food in a fabulous setting. One of Arizona Highways Magazine's Top-10 in 2013 and one of the top 17 restaurants to try in 2017.

Kayak Horseshoe Bend is our newest venture. We take pride in offering the most professional kayak rental and transportation business on the Colorado River.

The Employee Experience

Working with us is like being part of a family. We all work hard and play hard. We love exploring the outdoors and sharing those places and trips with others. We do our best to schedule your days off so that you can take advantage of this unique location. After all, that is part of the reason people come for the season.

We provide housing with your own private room, good pay and a productive work environment and free kayaking to our staff!

Ideal Candidate

The person who gets the most out of their time here are typically ones who love the outdoors: hikers, fishermen, photographers, kayakers and the like. If you are one who regularly needs the conveniences of a city, this is probably not the place for you.

Our staff thrive and enjoy being a part of a small, close-knit team. You must have the ability to be self-sufficient in a remote setting.

Because of our location, you need your own transportation.

You are a self starter, hard worker and honest.

We focus on customer satisfaction and perfect customer service. If you share this passion, we want to talk to you.

Room and Board

Staff occupies shared lodging in mobile homes that have private bedrooms with common living areas. There are full kitchens in all housing. You can shop, cook and eat what you like. You will receive 50% employee discount at our restaurant as well.

Employee Perks

Working here can get you discounts on all sorts of outdoor gear. Go kayaking Horseshoe Bend or flyfishing the famous Lees Ferry.

Outdoor activities are everywhere from our location...three National Parks are within a 2 hour drive.

With our affordable housing and fair compensation, this is a great opportunity for you to sock away some $ savings.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Staff must have their own transportation, as there is no access to public transportation, and we are in a remote location.

For Fun

We are located close to 3 National Parks for you to explore. Lees Ferry, a world class trout fishery is 20 minutes away. Lake Powell is only 45 miles for plenty of water sports. You can hike, fish, kayak, star gaze and shoot some great photography. This is also a great place to write, read or do crafts.
