Capon Springs is a true old-fashioned get away located in the mountains of West Virginia!

Capon Springs and Farms, Inc. is a seasonal family-style resort hotel located in the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley in West Virginia. We currently have openings in the food service department through mid-November. Some onsite housing is available. Open Positions Include:

Bake Shop Assistant: Primary duties for this role will be in the bakeshop, but may work in other areas of the kitchen based on need. In this role you will assist the bake shop supervisor in assuring proper preparation of fresh baked goods including bread, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, and pastries. Duties may include but are not limited to measuring and weighing ingridients to prepare batter, dough, or fillings using scales or graduated containers; prepare and decorate speciality items such as birthday or anniversary cakes; sets time and temperature controls on ovens; sets time and speed controls for mixing and blending machines; cleans, breaks down, and stores baking equipment; cleans work area at the end of shift; other duties as assigned by the bakeshop supervisor or the food service manager. Pay range is $13-15 hour based on experience.

Waitstaff: As a direct guest facing position our waitstaff play a vital role in fostering a welcoming environment and providing top notch customer service from the start to finish of the dining experience. Duties may include but are not limited to Greeting guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner; accurately take food and beverage orders in a quick and efficient manner; maintain knowledge of Capon's menu and be able to answer guests' questions including possible substitutions for dietary needs; periodically checks on guests to ensure an optimal dining experience and ensure that all needs have been met; resolve and guests complaints, or other issues and keeps the supervisor informed of any issues; Clears tables after each meal and resets the dining room including refilling napkins, condiments, silverware, and glassware; must be able to wait on 15-20 guests per meal; other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor. Pay rate starts at $5.50/hour plus gratuities.
