Located just 40 miles from Anchorage in the town of Girdwood. The resort is near three national parks and the Kenai Peninsula, and surrounded by the mountains of Chugach State Park. At 495,000 acres, it is the third largest state park in the U.S.

Room and Board

At Alyeska, work isn’t just a job—it’s a full experience, and that starts with where you live. Our employee housing offers a warm, welcoming environment with furnished units, functional kitchens, free Wi-Fi, coin-laundry machines, and access to an employee gym—all just moments from the resort. With both two-bedroom and four-bedroom shared units (two beds per bedroom) available, you’ll enjoy cozy accommodations, stunning mountain views, and the convenience of being close to everything you need.  

Housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is available exclusively to Alyeska Resort employees. Once your housing application is approved, our Employee Experience Team will reach out to ensure that your move into your new home is as seamless and stress-free as possible. We’ll provide the linens— you just bring your best smile and positive energy! 

Please note that an approved job offer and background check are required before a housing application can be accepted, and pets are not allowed.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Glacier Valley Transit (GVT) is Girdwood's public transportation system. GVT operates year-round with designated bus stops. Visit their website for current bus schedule and stop locations. On the site, you will also find information on Dial-A-Ride-Services for the disabled needing additional assistance.

The bus fare is free. Please visit the Alyeska Tram Ticket Office for more information.

For Fun

SUMMER: The summer season brings about a multitude of recreational adventures including hiking and biking right from the hotel and throughout Girdwood Valley. Taking a scenic aerial Tram ride is a favorite among visitors of all ages and abilities. Visitors can also take a guided glacier hike. Plus, flightseeing adventures, glacier dog-sledding, and guided ice climbing are all nearby.

WINTER: Alyeska Resort is an established ski destination known for its steep terrain and deep snowpack. With expansive mountain and ocean inlet views at your fingertips, Alyeska boasts an average 650" of annual snowfall at the summit. The valley floor offers trail systems for Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and dog-sledding. For avid skiers and riders, Chugach Powder Guides operate both heli-skiing and cat-skiing operations from the resort.
