Middle Bass General Store is Located on quite island on Lake Erie in between Toledo and Cleveland Ohio.

We have Great Housing available for rent. This includes a private bedroom. In the housing there is a full shared kitchen, free laundry, Tvs in each room and internet. The house is in a housing association. Staff has access to the pool, beach and 9 hole golf course. 

We need someone who is willing to clerk part time and be a pizza cook the other half of the week. This position would require cross training. Your time would be split with hours as the general store clerk checking out customers and then in the kitchen part time making pizza.

We provide discounts at the general store on additional meals and groceries. 

The season for this position ends 10/28/24 but we are flexible on dates.

$13-$14 per hour with the opportunity for an additional dollar per hour after training. Also available end of season bonus.

We are a family-owned business. Over the years many family members have worked for us and often come back to help during the busy season. We also employ many local students for summers while they enjoy their family cottages. Middle Bass General Store is the local hangout. We have a friendly, inviting, laid-back environment where people come to see their friends and chat with one another. We embrace our employees like family. There are many things to do on your days off and we do bi-monthly staff trips to neighboring islands. This is the place for a laid-back island experience! 

We are looking for a hard worker, a fast learner, and a people person. This position is very interactive with tourists and locals. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys nature and living a laid-back lifestyle.

For our employees, we have a private house in a neighborhood. Our house is on the golf course and there is a community pool just down the street. The house started as a 3-bedroom house with 1.5 baths. We recently added an addition to the house consisting of 2 suites (single room with private bath) and an upstairs dormer. The dormer has two bedrooms (one single and one double) that share a bathroom and kitchenette. We have 6 private bedrooms and one shared bedroom. Those living in the house share a bathroom. We charge $55 a week for the house and $85 a week for the suites. We offer one meal per day worked. Everything else our employees get 25% off of everything in the General Store and restaurant

Landing a seasonal job with Middle Bass Island General Store is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to spend their summer on an island with a resort atmosphere! The General Store opens on April 1st through mid-November when it closes for the winter. 

During time off, enjoy boating, swimming, and outdoor activities such as golfing, beach glass hunting and fishing. Put-in-Bay is also just a short ferry ride away, where you'll find many more bars, restaurants and shops, and just an hour to Cedar Point and Sandusky. Great places to visit while being able to come home to the peace at Middle Bass!
