About Yonder Escalante
The Escalante area has so much to offer. One side of the town is lined with the Grand Staircase National Monument that contains beautiful rock formations, arches, Indian ruins, and dinosaur tracks. On the north side of town, you’ll find the stunning Dixie National Forest where we have excellent fishing, tons of wildlife, gorgeous foliage, and breathtaking vistas (drives through the mountains any time of year are unmissable!) We have some of the best hiking destinations on the planet and over 3000 miles of off-road trails. There will be a plethora of adventures for you to take advantage of during your time here.
This is one of those places people come to visit and never leave. While we are in a very remote area, our little town has several excellent restaurants, an awesome bar, and plenty of amazing people. We are a little tourist town of about 700, and we thrive on cultivating personal connections with each person who passes through town. Our season typically starts in March and ends at the end of October. We have beautiful weather in Escalante! The spring and fall are in the '70s and the warmest months of summer are in the '80s, with the hottest days reaching the '90’s.
If you thrive on adventure, love exploring remote locations, and working with people from all over the world come and see what we have to offer!
At Yonder, we believe in getting lost – while staying safe and healthy. Your health and wellbeing are our priority, and we’re following best practices to deal with COVID-19 as advised by the CDC. We are regularly updated on these practices, and you may see them in action, from propping doors open as weather allows, sanitizing all surfaces regularly, offering hand sanitizers, face masks, wearing gloves when servicing communal areas, and staying home if you're feeling even a little bit sick.
