Position Summary: Under the direction of the Adventure Director, the Rocks and Rope Facilitator will assist with facilitating climbing wall sessions, high and low ropes course elements, and facilitating our zip line program.

Dates Needed: May 24th through end of summer or through fall 2022. Please apply with your available dates! Start date may be flexible if able to stay through fall season. 

Essential Functions:

  • Answering guest questions regarding Adventure Activities and other activities run by our Programs Department
  • Facilitating both the Indoor and Outdoor Climbing walls
  • Facilitating on our High Ropes Course
  • Facilitating on our Low Ropes Course
  • Facilitating on our Zip Lines
  • Assist in program development and advancement
  • Be comfortable working at height
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Know and adhere to policies and procedures set forth by YMCA of the Rockies
  • Use a computer to assist guests in enrolling for Adventure Activities and enter data prior to and after activities
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Must have up-to-date certifications in First Aid and CPR
    • We will help certify you if you do not have your certifications!
  • Must have a high degree of skill working with people of all ages
  • Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards
  • Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred facilitation experience

Employee Perks Package:
This is a seasonal position with pay rate of $14.11/hour (based on 40 hours/week). The rate includes a work completion bonus and appreciation fund. Sick time is accrued.

This position offers an all-inclusive living experience.

This living cost is $200/week and will be deducted from your paycheck; no need to worry about writing checks on time each month.

The average rental including utilities & groceries in our area is $1600/month.
