Live, Work and Experience Everything a Remote Lodge in a Spectacular Alaska Location Has to Offer!
Yes Bay Lodge is a world class destination for salt and freshwater fishing and wilderness adventure. We are a seasonal business, open for a brief 4+ month season. During that time, we are a 24-hour a day/seven day a week operation.
Yes Bay lies fifty miles north of Ketchikan in southern southeast Alaska, overlooking the spectacular view of the bay and pristine Wolverine Creek.
About Alaska’s Yes Bay Lodge
We employ 25 individuals throughout the summer, filling a variety of positions. Our season runs from approximately June 15 through September 24. It is very important that each employee is available to work the entire season.
Successful employees are willing to put 100% effort into their work, and 100% into time off. Those who easily become bored by the remote location will most likely not enjoy the unique opportunity to live and work in the relative wilderness.
We will be adhering to federal, state, and local COVID19 mandates at the time of operation. We continue to monitor the COVID situation closely.

The Employee Experience
Experience the untamed beauty of Southeast Alaska! This is your chance to work at a remote wilderness lodge and make some great money while doing it. Employees get a chance to take advantage of outdoor activities like hiking, fishing and kayaking.
The ideal Yes Bay Lodge candidate is someone who can commit themselves to the entire season which is from mid June through September. Employees should be able to work hard in a fast-paced, close-knit, and no drama environment. Ideal candidates are able to separate themselves from today’s technology in order to enjoy the pristine environment in which we are located and in order to focus on delivering a solid work performance. The candidate would also need to be comfortable in a remote wilderness environment without access to roads or shopping and also be able to live with roommates during their employment. If this sounds like you and you are looking for summer employment, apply today!
Room and Board
All employees will reside in dormitory-style living quarters that will be shared with another crew member of the same sex. Rooms include beds, shelving, and a bathroom with a shower. The crew may utilize a shared TV with satellite and DVD for entertainment, laundry facilities are open in the evening for crew use, and meals are served cafeteria-style in the employee break room. Because everyone lives and works in close proximity to one another it is crucial that everyone respect each other’s job, workspace, personal space, and personal belongings.
Our employees receive a monthly salary, a share in the gratuity pool (this can equal an additional $4,000 over the season!), and full room and board.
Getting Here and Getting Around
We primarily bring our crew out from Ketchikan by floatplane. This is provided for all staff and is an exciting way to begin your summer adventure!
We want our staff to thoroughly enjoy their time spent at the lodge. Days off are a perfect way to take advantage of the wilderness location. Employees are encouraged to hike our trails, the most established being a one-and-a-half-mile hike up Wolverine Creek to the exquisite McDonald Lake. There you may take part in some of the world’s most superb trout fishing. Some other activities include saltwater fishing for King Salmon and Halibut, wildlife viewing, and swimming in the pristine Alaskan waters. Having a hobby will also provide employees with a more enjoyable stay. For example, photography, painting, drawing, reading, writing, knitting/crocheting, are all fantastic ways for employees to relax and take pleasure in their time off.
