As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. Responsible for accurately ringing registers sales by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers' purchases, and cash handling.

Greets all customers when entering and leaving the establishment. Engages with all our customers, resolves customer concerns, guides them to products on our sales floor, and provides relevant information to their questions. Your interaction with them shapes their experience of this historic gift shop and both Yellowstone National Park and Cooke City! 

Additional responsibilities will include accurately ensuring inventory controls, display and merchandising, stocking, lifting boxes, basic cleaning, and maintaining a clean front-of-store appeal.

The Yellowstone Trading Post is a historic c1939 log cabin gift shop with a unique wildlife museum that draws in many tourists each summer. Our store is known for its apparel, unique gifts, souvenirs featuring Yellowstone National Park, and the iconic Beartooth Pass, known for its sharp curves and breathtaking mountain views from nearly 11,000ft. We are located in the remote small community town of Cooke City, Montana, only 4 miles from the NE Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Lamar Valley is a short distance from the park and is known as the mecca of wildlife sightings, including wolf packs, moose, bear, and infinite bison herds.

This is a seasonal position from early May through early October. Low-cost company housing is available for our full-time employees if meeting the requirements. No pets.

Salary: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Weekend availability is a must.
