The ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects is essential. Success in this position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

Position:         Data Management and Customer Care Associate

Location:        Gardiner, Montana

Reports To:     Vice President of Human Resources

Status:             Full-time Non-Exempt

Summary Description:

Yellowstone Forever (YF) is the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park. Our mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Yellowstone National Park through education and philanthropy. YF connects people to Yellowstone through outstanding visitor experiences and educational programs and translates those experiences into lifelong support of the park and philanthropic investment in its future. Our educational programming and products help people enhance their understanding and appreciation of the wildlife, natural wonders, and cultural history of the park. YF’s operations include Park Stores in and around Yellowstone; the Yellowstone Forever Institute, which offers in-depth educational programing for people of all ages; and a supporter program which raises funds for priority park projects.

The Data Management and Customer Care Associate is often the first contact callers have with Yellowstone Forever.  This person handles incoming phone and web communications and provides excellent service. The ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects is essential. Success in this position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and reply to emails in a timely manner, ensuring a positive experience for Yellowstone Forever supporters.
  • Log calls and emails to determine volume and call traffic data.
  • Work with philanthropy department to ensure effective communication with donors and processing of donations and donor information.
  • Process phone and web orders and inquiries for the retail department.
  • Assist with YF Institute registration and lodging processes to ensure accurate and timely payments, health form accountability, registration packet and participant information as needed.
  • Effectively communicate relevant customer-related information across the organization.
  • Assist other areas of the with tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Represent Yellowstone Forever and its mission accurately and positively.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment with YF employees, volunteers, and partners.
  • Travel into Yellowstone, throughout the Greater Yellowstone area and other, as required.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the VP Human Resources.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Two or more years of customer service experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with MS office and comfortable with the use of technology.
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to represent YF in a courteous and professional manner.
  • This position involves driving YF vehicles, therefore applicants must hold and maintain a valid US driver’s license and maintain a favorable driving record for insurance purposes.
  • A satisfactory criminal background check are conditions of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with reservation and/or data systems.
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment.
  • Knowledge of Yellowstone National Park.

Compensation:

This is a full-time non-exempt position, which will be based in Gardiner, Montana. Travel between the offices and throughout the park may be required.
