The Seasonal Traffic Hut Lead will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

The Seasonal Traffic Hut Lead directs the functions of the Traffic Hut operations.  Is responsible for controlling all access to the core village, lodging, WPR administrative offices, NSCD, and clinic.  Manages the pay parking operations in the village garage, overflow and disabled lots.  Is responsible for the revenue collection, processing, reconciliation, and reporting.  Consistently follows all Alterra policies and procedures as well as the privacy policy.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Control of vehicles into lodging check-in, reserved, visitor, pay, short term, disabled and clinic parking. Control access of deliveries, shuttles, emergency vehicles and construction vehicles.
  • Monitor gates & pay equipment in the parking garage. Manage pre-maintenance program, trouble shooting and repairs.
  • Print & distribute parking tickets as needed.
  • Collect, reconcile, and deposit pay parking fees.
  • Creates & distributes guest parking permits.
  • Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner. Effectively handle first-line conflicts and resolve problems.
  • Responsible for cleanliness, snow removal and maintenance in and around hut and gates including signage.
  • Public and employee safety
    • Be alert for potential hazards involving vehicles, pedestrians, and equipment. Take responsible action to prevent accidents.
    • Report and/or correct any unsafe conditions.
    • Assist with vehicle, public, and employee accidents as required. Follow accident reporting procedures.

Other Duties:

  • Interact with SkiData for repair, purchases and training
  • Assist with parking lot operations as needed
  • Be available for special events

Supervisory Duties:

  • Train other crew members in all hut procedures. Schedule full coverage.  All revenue processing, reconciliation and reporting.

  • High School Diploma or GED (general education diploma). Associate or advanced degree with some general accounting course work is a plus  2 years college or trade school desirable


  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and surrounding services; town and valley desirable.
  • Two or more years working with public in high stress environment.
  • Experience with point of sale software and cash handling.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal skills. Fluent in English.
  • Must pass a credit/background check for cash handling
  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and surrounding services; town and valley desirable.
  • Experience with point of sale software, computers, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license; clean Motor Vehicle Record required
