Owned by Family, Run by Family, Treated like Family
Located in the Southeast region of the US, Wildwater provides whitewater rafting trips and zipline canopy tours at four different locations: the Nantahala River, Pigeon River, Ocoee River and Chattooga River. We are a family owned and operated company that seeks to provide quality trips to groups and families.
All locations are in and around the Great Smoky Mountains in NC, SC, and TN.
Become part of the Wildwater Family! All of our unique locations hold not only whitewater opportunities and great aerial views on the canopy tours, but also hold all of your outdoor desires. Outside of work, there is hiking, mountain biking, great friends and great food- your favorite playground, The Great Smoky Mountains, will be in your back yard! Whether you are looking to grow your outdoor professional career or just want to have a fun summer job, Wildwater is the place for you!
The Employee Experience
In order to provide the finest recreation experiences available to those who enjoy the outdoors, Wildwater has developed goals to define the present and shape its future:
- Quality – Cutting edge service, facilities, equipment, maintenance, etc.
- Environment – We will continue to implement ways to be better stewards of our environment.
- Profitability – Quality, innovation and cost control is our chosen path.
A coordinated plan of purchasing, improvements, marketing and most importantly hiring and training provides the foundation for our success, Wildwater may not exceed every outfitter on every detail, but our goal is to provide a consistent overall experience that cannot be matched.
Quality Guest Service will require the commitment of all of Wildwater’s Team Members to full-time courtesy, friendliness, helpfulness and honesty. Without our Guests we would not have a business and paychecks. Integrity should be the foundation of how we treat our Guests and fellow Team Members.
Wildwater Service Guarantee: Any Guest who feels they did not get the experience they purchased will get an additional trip or other appropriate compensation. We are serious about service and you are key in providing quality and value.
We are looking for team members who have a focus on guest services, work well with a team, and have an attitude to always learn and have fun.
Room and Board
Housing is available to team members while working or training. Accommodations include bunk housing, community kitchen, and bath house. Expect roommates.
Wildwater team members are not only able to raft and zip at all locations free of charge, they are able to bring family and friends at either a reduced rate or free of charge as well. Everyone is eligible for discounted outdoor gear and apparel, free team housing, and reduced meal costs at our locations with food service.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Vehicles are welcome but not required for getting around the area. All team housing is on property and within walking distance to work. If you do not have a car, many employees have vehicles and will carpool 15 min to the closest grocery store, etc. It is hard to find a taxi/transportation service from an airport to our property. I would recommend arranging for someone to drop you off if you do not plan to have a vehicle for the summer.
With the Great Smoky Mountains in your backyard, there are endless opportunities for exploration! Rafting, Ziplining, Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, etc. are all available in and around each location!

You are the first smiling face with whom our Guests will come in contact. A positive attitude is a must! This is a fun and often a fast-paced job, but requires someone who is detail-oriented and works well under pressure.
