Room and Board

Housing is available at $7/day deducted from paycheck.

Getting Here and Getting Around

West Yellowstone is small, you can walk across town in 10 -15 minutes depending on where you need to go. Housing is at most 1/2 mile from work.

The nearest Airports are West Yellowstone Airport 2 miles away, the Bozeman airport which is 90 miles north, and the Idaho Falls airport which is 90 miles south.

If you fly in you can either arrange a pickup by management, or secure a taxi service (not recommended).

For Fun

There is no shortage of outdoor activity here: Go for a hike, learn to fly fish, take a horseback ride, spend time at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, or watch a movie at the local Imax.

Our Jobs

Our season runs from Mid-April to Mid-October. We are hiring seasonal positions and provide all training required, but you have to enjoy working with people!

Breakfast Attendant

Job Summary: Prepares and serves the daily complimentary, hot, buffet breakfast for hotel guests, while meeting established standards of cleanliness through setup, operation, and cleanup of breakfast.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares foods such as eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, baked goods, gravy, etc.
  • Sets out and arranges food, such as muffins, breads and cereal for self-service.
  • Clears and cleans tables as guests are finishing/finished breakfast.
  • Wipes up spills, sweeps, removes trash throughout shift to assure guest satisfaction and mops towards the end of the shift, along with ensuring everything is stocked for the next day.
  • Greet guests and accommodate requests to ensure superior customer care.
  • Restocks self-service food, beverages and supplies as needed.
  • Returns reusable food supplies to storage with proper dates on products.
  • Follows city, county, and/or state guidelines on food prep, storage, sanitation, and other items the inspector gives to the hotel.
  • Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day and informs management for proper ordering.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while being punctual and dependable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior customer service and food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work long hours if needed.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. 

Housekeeper

 Job Summary:  Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established hotel standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction. 

Job Duties:

  • Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.
  • Sets up cleaning cart with supplies.  Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
  • Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets.  Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest restrooms.
  • Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest, or is soiled or torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
  • Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
  • Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings.
  • Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens.
  • Checks storeroom for cleanliness, wiping door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (e.g., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows).
  • Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
  • Checks lights, microwaves, refrigerators, phones, TVs and remotes to ensure all are in working order.
  • Help with laundry as needed.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighting up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
