Although we are a year-round operation, our busiest months are May through October. Most of the positions posted here are seasonal to begin with, but may become year-round opportunities for the right candidates. 

  • Field Crewmember

    Operations
    Ellsworth

    Job Summary: 

    This entry-level position performs tasks related to the set up of event spaces and equipment and the construction of temporary structures (tents). Field Crew Members report to a Field Foreman, who directs their activities throughout the day. 

    Duties:
     

    • Takes direction from Field Foreman or Project Manager during job assignments 
    • Travels to various job sites with the Field Crew, often at a great distance; all road time is paid but travel time can exceed four hours in one direction  
    • Helps to unpack equipment at the job site and to organize set up efficiently
    • Uses appropriate tools and equipment to construct temporary field structures
    • Follows project plans and field diagrams to execute accurate job set up  
    • Supports customer satisfaction whenever possible 
    • Practices standard safety guidelines at all times and helps to support a safe worksite 
    • Learns all standard operating procedures for Field Crew and seeks direction if unfamiliar scenarios arise 
    • Maintains and services standing tents during inclement weather as needed
    • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Field Foreman, Project Manager, or Operations Managers

    Work Schedules: 

    This position typically works a five- or six-day work week (50 - 60 hours) in the summer and a four-day workweek (30 - 40 hours) in the winter. Evening and weekend hours are required, and 10+ hour days may be expected, especially on event days.  This position is often offered on a seasonal basis. Year-round or seasonal status will be specified in any offer of employment. This position participates in the on-call rotation and may be required to work overnight or weekend hours when on-call. 

    Qualifications:  

    Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and basic hygiene standards during work hours. Must be able to take direction and operate various tools and equipment.

     

  • Warehouse Crewmember

    Operations - Warehouse
    Ellsworth

    Job Summary:

    The Warehouse Crewmember performs tasks related to the storage and packing of Hard Goods items in the Wallace Events Warehouse as well as packing and unpacking delivery trucks for field crews. 

    Duties:

    • Reports to the Warehouse Foreman 
    • Helps pack and unpack equipment and vehicles throughout the day, ensures that items are stowed efficiently and safely during transit for a smooth delivery, and are stored properly after use 
    • Ensures timely and efficient “turnover” of rental products between use, an ongoing task throughout the day
    • Helps to maintain and clean inventory including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, piping, drapes, and kitchen equipment
    • Has a working knowledge of Wallace Events’ Hard Goods inventory
    • Uses appropriate tools and equipment to maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse space
    • Retrieves hard goods items to fill operations and sales orders 
    • Returns hard goods items to designated storage space after use 
    • Helps support the proper placement and documentation of all items in the warehouse 
    • Supports operational success whenever possible 
    • Helps to support safety protocols in the warehouse 
    • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management

  • LSP Crewmember

    Operations - Lighting, Sound, and Power
    Ellsworth

    Job Summary: 

    The Lighting, Sound, and Power Crewmember performs tasks related to the setup and operation of professional audio/visual equipment, lighting, and generators at event sites. 

    Duties:

    • Reports to the LSP Foreman during job assignments 
    • Helps pack equipment and vehicles at the warehouse for transport to the job site; travels to job sites and participates in setting up lighting and sound equipment; often makes several runs in one day  
    • Uses LSP toolkits and equipment to produce a professional A/V experience including, but not limited to: lighting, sound, and power
    • Submits reports and passes along any relevant information to the LSP foreman when observed or acquired in the field 
    • Delivers and sets up generators at the event site 
    • Follows project plans and field diagrams to execute accurate job set up  
    • Supports customer satisfaction whenever possible 
    • Practices standard safety protocols at all times and helps to support a safe worksite 
    • Learns all standard operating procedures for LSP Crew and seeks direction if unfamiliar scenarios arise 
    • Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the LSP Foreman, LSP Manager, or Operations Managers
