2024 summer season retail positions are available at Smith & Chandler and Firehole Trading Company. Smith & Chandler has been in business since the early 1900s and has long been considered the premier shop in West Yellowstone for upscale gifts, apparel, and outdoor lifestyle products. Firehole Trading Company is a younger urban vibe compared to Smith & Chandler’s classic vintage atmosphere. This is a fun work environment where you can enjoy meeting and helping visitors from around the country and the world. We are looking for exceptional, friendly outgoing couples and individuals wanting to be a part of our sales team in West Yellowstone, Montana. Must have customer service skills and be comfortable promoting sales and working with the public. • Positions are in retail sales, including greeting & assisting customers, operating the point of sales computer, and conducting credit card & cash transactions • Restocking & pricing product • Light cleaning, including dusting and straightening merchandise • Assisting visitors with local and Yellowstone National Park information.
West Yellowstone is the renowned gateway location adjacent to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Our community retains the character of a small Montana western town while providing the amenities one would want in a larger town with numerous lodging choices, multiple restaurants, and grocery stores.
Local attractions include The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, IMAX theater, museum, public library, post office, medical clinic, and a veterinary clinic, all within walking distance from our front door. West Yellowstone is located 90 miles south of Bozeman, Montana, and 110 miles southwest of Idaho Falls, ID. Also, Big Sky is a short 50 miles away, which boasts of a new state-of-the-art hospital and medical clinic.
Approx. 32-40 hrs/wk. @ $14.00/hr. Couples will have the same days off.
Private employee RV park with full hookup sites, Wi-Fi, TV, and a laundry facility at $5.00/day/person; or a shared furnished apartment at $7.00 /day/person all utilities are included
The positions start mid-April and last into October 2024.
