The season starts with two weeks of training (chainsaw, trails, outdoor living, wilderness first aid).  Members are then placed on a 4-person crew and spend the rest of the season working at various project sites throughout Utah.  Each crew has a unique project schedule.  Crews are at their project site for 4-10 days at a time; they return back to their base field office for off time between project weeks.

Have you been to Utah before? Off-time from this job doesn't get any better!  There are endless recreational opportunities for hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and national park touring within a couple hours of every field office.  And fall is a perfect season to take it all in.
