Turpin Meadow Ranch is a recently restored guest ranch where history and luxury meet. The property is on the Bridger-Teton National Forest and is the gateway to the Teton Wilderness, Wyoming’s second largest Wilderness Area!
The wild and scenic Buffalo Fork River meanders through the property. Our ranch sits at the end of the road, where adventure begins. TMR is located 1 hour from the town of Jackson and even closer to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The ranch is the premier base camp for those looking to explore the parks and the wilds of Wyoming!
- We have 14 separate units on site varying in size from single room cabins to large multi-level chalets. Our housekeepers are responsible to take care of the ranch laundry, provide daily cabin refreshes, as well as keeping the main lodge looking its best.
Our ideal candidate has hospitality in mind no matter what duty is being completed. Guest service and satisfaction are paramount. Though we have a lot of fun here at Turpin Meadow Ranch we are looking for the most talented and professional individuals. We require that candidates be 18 years of age or older and possess positive characteristics. We are looking for healthy individuals who pay attention to their personal hygiene and appearance. Please, no smokers as we are a smoke-free campus. We are looking for responsible individuals who are respectful of themselves, others, animals, and property. It is important that our employees are flexible and can take direction while maintaining a joyful spirit. Attention to detail is a must, ideally, our employees can see what needs to be done without being asked. Our team members need to have positive attitudes and strong work ethics, everyone is expected to be willing and happy to lend a helping hand when needed. It is key that our employees can be happy in a remote area with limited cell phone and internet connection, if this is a concern please discuss it during the interview process.
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Start date is June 16, some employees may be asked to be here earlier depending on position.
- End date is sometime in late September with the potential to extend into October based on staffing needs.
In the winter time, Turpin Meadow Ranch transforms into a Nordic center and snowmobile paradise; there is potential for our summer employees to be here in the winter as well.
Approximately $1600/month based on 50 hr work weeks
Tips are given to you personally are yours to keep.
During the season there is a general camp tip fund that grows and is divided amongst the staff at the end of the season.
Accommodations for staff are provided in single or shared rooms bunkhouse style with a community kitchen. Accommodation is not taken out of wage.
GETTING HERE & AROUND:
You will be expected to arrive in Jackson Hole by your own means. Jackson Hole has an airport though it is strongly recommended that you have your own means of reliable transportation so that you can explore the nearby parks and also get into town on your own. The ranch does not provide regular employee shuttles.
Navigation systems and GPS units may provide inaccurate information. Print and prepare your driving directions beforehand; if you have a question about closed roads please call us before you begin your journey to the ranch. Cell phone reception is limited in many nearby areas and other parts of Wyoming.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast Turpin Meadow Ranch is the place for you! With stunning views of the Tetons out the front door and Wyoming’s second largest Wilderness Area out the back door, there is never a moment of dullness. Turpin Meadow is 15 miles from the entrance of Grand Teton National Park and 40 miles to the south boundary entrance of Yellowstone National Park. With three National Forest trailheads within walking distance, you will quickly be on your way to exploring the backcountry. There is world class riding, biking, fishing, climbing, hiking, and camping in Jackson Hole. Multi-sport days are a regular thing around these parts, it is not unheard of to climb, bike, and raft all on the same day. By night enjoy a campfire with some good friends or treat yourself to a delicious meal at one of Jackson’s favorite foodie restaurants. The ranch is located about an hour away from the town of Jackson where every night is Friday night!
For those who are creative, there is a vibrant art scene present. Multiple art fairs come through Jackson in addition to live theater and music. Many concerts are free. There is also a great center for the arts in town which offers a variety of classes in almost every medium and brings shows in from across the country and the world.
