Who We're Looking For
Whether you're a local from right here in Moose Pass, a world traveler looking to spend a season in the last frontier, or a student fresh out of culinary school, if you know how to work hard to support your team, have a passion for what you do, care about the community you live in and you keep your word when you give it, we're happy you're here!
Because of where we're situated and what we do here at Trail Lake Lodge, we're looking for people with a wide range of skills and a 'can-do' attitude. We may not be the most remote outfit in the land, but that doesn't mean we don't find ourselves needing to be pretty self-sufficient from time to time! We may find ourselves as busy as can be serving a whole restaurant full of guests one day, the next day we may just get into a demolition and rebuild project to improve our facility, and the very next it could be all hands on deck to provide the highest quality service to an entire pavilion full of wedding guests in tuxedos and evening gowns! We've all just got to do what it takes to get things done.
So now you know a little about what we need on the business side of things, but there's a whole lot more to living here than that! We're also very much interested in surrounding ourselves with people who are passionate about exploring Alaska! We do our best to make sure everyone has two consecutive days off each week so you can unwind and get out to enjoy this amazing place we're living in. We also have some pretty good connections throughout the entire state and we try our best to find excellent deals for you if you're interested in going on a wildlife viewing tour, a sightseeing flight over a glacier, a kayak trip out on the water or heading out fishing, horse riding, mountain biking or hiking. It's high on our priority list to make sure you're able to take advantage of the time you have while in Alaska.
A position at Trail Lake Lodge offers many life-long benefits and rewards. If you have not lived or worked in Alaska before, you will find the experience, the landscape and the new personal relationships you establish to be very unique and rewarding. The summer months bring thousands of vacationing tourists from all over the United States and the world to this region each year. Tourism is our core business. Many visitors from outside of Alaska will agree that once you have visited Alaska, a part of you never goes all the way back home. Much of your experience in Alaska will stay with you for a lifetime.
This job begins in May and runs through September, with the possibility of winter work as well! We offer an employee housing package, discounts on food and store merchandise, and full-time work with 2 consecutive days off most weeks. Please see our Trail Lake Lodge FAQ's for details and to Apply!
