  • Fitness Instructor

    Parks, Recreation & Trails

    The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Fitness Instructor to join our Parks, Recreation and Trails team! 

     

    This is an in-person part-time position, offering part-time benefits             

    Hourly range: $33.66 - $39.27 

    Hiring range: $33.66 - $36.47

     

    We are looking for a fitness instructor (LesMills, yoga, cycling, HIIT, TRX)  that will provide group fitness classes, monitor and educate patrons on fitness safety and maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for class participants. 

     

    Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below: 

    • Teache scheduled classes, begins and ends on time; provide adequate warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down.   

    • Monitor and record accurate class attendance. Assist patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and class participants.  

    • Ensure pre-class set up and post class tear down, including area clean-up and equipment properly stored.   

    • Give pre-class instruction, introduce self, greet class participant, get names of participants, information regarding limitations or injuries and give preview of class.  

    • Modify exercises for special populations (injuries, back problems, pregnancy, etc.)  

    • Prepare appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.  

    • Organize and direct activities of assigned participants in order to provide a high level of quality instruction for all participants.  

    • Establish positive public relations with the participants helping them recognize and understand fitness developments.  

    • Resolve simple public complaints in matters related to fitness classes and refers other complaints to the Fitness & Aquatics Coordinator.  

    • Enforce standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.  

    • Help organize and assist in the development of special programs, activities or instruction.   

    • Maintain an on-going program of personal physical fitness necessary to complete essential job duties.  

    • Inspect relevant fitness equipment and facilities and prepare appropriate recommendations.  

    • Establish and maintain cooperative, effective, and productive working relationships using tact, patience and courtesy. Effectively plan and organize work and complete tasks within prescribed timeframes.

    The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:  

    • Specialized training and certification in personal training, yoga, Pilates, TRX, or a specified certification 

    • Maintain a current nationally recognized certification and provide proof yearly. American Red Cross certified in first aid and CPR/AED or able to obtain within one month of hire 

    • Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles  

    • Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm 

    • Choreography and music skills.  

    • Ability to be professional and motivate class participants

  • Bus Driver - Full Time Seasonal

    The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a bus driver to join our Transit team! 

     

    This is an in-person seasonal position, offering full-time benefits (and year-round insurance for eligible employees!!) until the end of the summer season (September 30th)
            

    Hourly range: $25.35 - $32.96 

    Hiring range: $25.35 - $29.16

    $1,000 sign-on bonus is available! 

     

    We are looking for a bus driver that will safely operate a transit vehicle over designated routes in accordance with Commercial Drivers License (CDL) regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, and Town policies; politely provide information and service with a positive attitude to guests/residents of the community; make a record of vehicle condition and passenger boarding activity which may involve simple math; provide direction/information to customers on a variety of issues; communicate information in person and over a radio; and operate equipment to assist physically challenged individuals.  

     

    The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:  

    • CDL B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement 
    • A previous driving experience in a truck or bus is desirable 
    • Previous experience in a customer service role 
    • Defensive Driving training and/or transit coach safety training

  • Facilities Maintenance Technician I - Transportation Department

    The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facility Maintenance Tech I to join our Transportation Department!  

     

    This is an in-person position.

      

    Position hourly range: $25.35 - $32.96 

    Hiring range: $25.35 - $29.16 

     

    $1,000 sign-on bonus available! 

     

    We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Tech that will perform manual labor in the cleaning and simple repair of the department transit vehicles and facilities around the Town of Snowmass Village. This position is responsible for general cleaning, transport vehicles to shop, recommend purchase of materials, snow removal using hand tools, minor plumbing and mechanical repair and monitoring of cleaning supplies. 

     

    Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below: 
     

    • Operate equipment and appliances to clean buses and delivery vehicles to maintain access to the wash bay and delivery docks 

    • Coordinate with the Transit Foreperson on the cleaning of vehicles and the transit depots, bus stops, walkways, elevator, offices and vehicle storage bays 

    • Clear facilities of trash debris 

    • Perform snow removal with hand towels, powered equipment and/or plow truck 

    • Operate heavy equipment using safe judgment in a confined area 

    • Safely operate service vehicles and plow truck on public roadways 

    • Learn the proper use of motorized and/or mechanical equipment

  • Maintenance Operator I

    • Operate compactors, front-end loaders, snow plow and similar equipment in various assignments in maintenance of roads, streets, and related facilities 

    • Build signs; prepare posts; paint and install traffic marking and facilities 

    • Plow and clear snow and ice from streets and sidewalks 

    • Mow roadway ditches and trims shrubs and trees 

    • Place and finish concrete or asphalt materials

  • IT Support Specialist

    Position salary range: $60,394 - $84,552 

    Hiring range: $60,394 - $72,473

    We are looking for an IT Support Specialist that will be responsible for the building, deployment, upkeep, support, and retirement of all town issued workstations, printers, telephone, mobile devices, and any other computer-based equipment. The IT Support Specialist will manage the Town’s Help Desk, and provide user support for any problems, issues or requests with any technological or communication systems.  

    Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:  

    •  Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically, including some limited after-hour and/or weekend occasions 
    • Provide service Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues for end users via telephone, web portal, email, and chat to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues 
    • Configure and deploy user desktop/laptop computers, monitors, docking stations, VOIP telephones, printers, scanners, and A/V equipment 
    • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined 
    • Manage IT projects and oversee or perform the installation of IT equipment 
    • Provide emergency repairs and non-emergency maintenance to the town network including ethernet wired network, internet connections, wireless network equipment, fiber optic network, and surveillance camera systems 
    • Provide AV support for meetings and events 
    • Provide excellent customer service to all members of the organization and community, serve as back up for the reception functions of Town Hall, including but not limited to, answering the main phone line and directing calls, handling inquiries from citizens, accepting packages, assisting in the delivery of departmental mail, and more 
    • Manage and monitor hardware inventory and IT assets, including stocking and issuing various IT supplies 
    • Design, administer, and support various SharePoint sites 
    • Develop documentation for the ongoing management of TOSV systems
