We are seeking a qualified and motivated snowplow operator to join the road division of our Public Works Department. Reporting directly to the Road Superintendent, this position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, construction, and operation of roadways, drainage facilities, fences, and other public facilities. This position also operates a variety of light, medium, and heavy equipment.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience in operating light and medium equipment. Possession of or the ability to obtain (within 30 days) a valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License is critical to the success of this position. The Town of Snowmass will train qualified applicants to meet CDL requirements.
A desire to live in, serve and be an active member of a mountain community is strongly preferred.

We are seeking a qualified driver with (or with the ability to secure) a Class B P2 CDL with Air Brake certification to safely operate a transit vehicle over designated routes within Snowmass Village.

Under the general supervision of the Housing Director, Lead Building Maintenance Mechanic & Building Maintenance Mechanic II, this position performs manual skilled and semi skilled work and limited lead work involving employee housing building operations and property maintenance. This position is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the apartment buildings in all complexes, leads part-time assistants and participates in keeping the adjacent grounds, parking lots and equipment in an orderly condition.

The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Fleet Superintendent to join our Public Works Department!
This is an in-person position
Position salary range: $81,099.20 - $113,547.20
Hiring range: $81,099.20 - $97,323.20
$1,000 sign-on bonus available!
We are looking for a Fleet Superintendent that will perform a series of management tasks such as manage the division budget and all town fuel budgets, manage the Vehicle Maintenance employees and daily business, oversee, organize, schedule and perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work on a wide variety of gas and diesel powered vehicles and equipment.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:

Make presentations to the public and Town Council, as required

Manage, coach and conduct performance evaluations of Vehicle Maintenance staff. Prioritize and supervise work for shop division employees.

Maintain Fleet Management software programs and prepare reports for Finance Department and service users; track costs of fleet vehicle operation

Manage, including recommending, procurement and coordinating department requests as it relates to the Town fleet replacement program and budget for all town vehicles.

Serve as Town Asset Manager for all fleet vehicles and equipment assets
-
Manage Town fuel system and tracking of its inventory. Prepare monthly fuel usage and mileage reports for all vehicles. Prepare Town fuel, parts, and fleet services labor budget for all departments

Provide information/documentation and maintains tracking for vehicle accident insurance claims
-
Maintain current knowledge of regulations concerning shop safety, shop operations, hazardous materials, underground fuel storage tanks, and related vehicle maintenance operations

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:-
High School diploma or equivalent preferably supplemented by auto and equipment trade schools

Minimum of four years of experience at journeyman mechanic level

State of Colorado UST Operator A and UST Operator B certification or ability to obtain

You may receive an introductory call with HR or the hiring manager to start the conversation - we want to get to know you better and answer any of your questions. Subsequent calls may be scheduled for more in-depth conversations. A final panel interview will then be scheduled to discuss the opportunities and challenges you'll be tackling in the position.
