Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) Bus is hiring qualified Transit Operators for 40 hrs/wk and for fill in/part time for the winter season November 25, 2023 – April 14, 2023.  Paid pre-season training starting on November 6, 2023. $25.20/hr or more DOE. Up to $8650 signing/performance/safety/housing/benefit differential bonus, winter ski pass discounts, and access to free transferrable daily ski passes. Employment includes use of the Town of Jackson exercise gym and free entry to the Teton County Recreation Center.

Primary duty is the operation of a bus in order to transport and assist the general public along a fixed route.  Routes include transporting skiers/ snowboarders/ employees/ guests to and from the Town of Jackson and Teton Village, transporting locally employed and visitors throughout Town, fill-in shifts transporting commuters from Teton Valley Idaho and Star Valley Wyoming, and fill-in shifts serving our most vulnerable with ADA service all while operating an updated fleet of diesel powered buses, motor coaches for commuters, hybrid diesel/electric buses, smaller gas powered shuttle buses, and all electric Proterra buses.  Electronic data/pass scanning on most buses.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications include: Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement. Successful applicants will possess the ability to deal politely, effectively and responsibly with the public.

Rental housing is provided on a first-come-first-served basis for employees + spouse/partner. Housing is available as of November 1, 2023.
