About Ticaboo Resort and Offshore Marina
Ticaboo, Utah, where Social Distancing is a daily way of life...
We are located in the high desert of Southern Utah on the Colorado Plateau, may be one of the most extensive combinations of natural wonder, human and natural history, and lore; a mecca for adventurers, artists, wanderers and writers alike. Early inhabitants of the area, "the ancient ones", mysteriously disappeared, but the evidence of their existence and the proof of their ingenuity and genius can be seen in their still-present dwellings and rock art drawings. The modern history of the area is born from the exploration of Glen Canyon, steeped in Uranium mining, and the development of Lake Powell. Our past, present, and future are diverse and iconic. We have the resources dreams are made of for wanderers, explorers, and adventurers, and the past legends are made of.
Our services and operations include hotel and vacation rental home lodging, food-service, retail, guided tours, ATV and boat rentals, and pleasure/houseboat services. We’re a very diverse Land and Water service operation spread over 2 properties, 2 miles apart from each other; Ticaboo and Offshore Marina.
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Cass Hite, Edward Abbey, Everett Ruess are but a few of the notable/notorious characters and icons to live, explore, write and be forever affected by Southern Utah and the area we live, work and play in today, in their shadows and footsteps.
Everett Ruess, his legacy forever imprinted in the desert here, was quoted as saying "I have been to many beautiful places and did not intend to taste, but to drink deep." Ticaboo is the opportunity that opens the door and allows you to "drink deep" either at Lake Powell or within the millions of acres of open land and adventure opportunities that is our back yard.
A season here can change your life forever, just like it has ours, and still does daily. We came to work a season and fell in love, fell under the same spell the legends did, and never left. Our list of things to do grows each day; never-ending, but never needing to.
Come join us and find out what we're talking about for yourself!

Room and Board
We have excellent newer private housing equipped with full kitchens and full private baths and our employees say it's the best accommodations in and around National Parks they've lived in. In today's changing environment, our housing provides clean, convenient safe/socially distant living conditions. No dorms and plenty of space to relax.
Our primary housing is studio apartments for single or double occupancy (roommates or couples). Our housing is spread out, and quiet where everyone is afforded privacy and a good night's sleep. We do not have dormitories or any issues with that come with overcrowded living for noise and related occurrences.
RV sites with power water and sewer hookups are also available for people with their own RV's who want to work with us for a monthly utility fee of $100.00 to cover the cost of power and water.
Housing is provided at below cost to our employees with the monthly utility fee deducted from your paycheck. The housing fee is $250 a month per "cowboy" (private studio unit) with full-size kitchen and bath. Double occupancy/roommates can split the rental costs and save money.
Other limited housing types and rent amounts are based on availability, and discussed with year-round role candidates and employees.
A refundable security deposit of $125 is required for all housing and can be deducted up to 3 pay periods. Pets may be accepted on a case by case basis and involve an additional pet deposit.
Since every housing unit has a full kitchen/fridge-freezer/storage, special diets are easy to accommodate as is “snacking” to cook and eat what you want, when you want!
Our convenience store and restaurant do offer employee discounts and occasionally there are complementary employee appreciation cookouts. A National Frozen food vendor (Schwans) does service Ticaboo and employees are able to pre-order via their website or in person from the driver when on property. There is no employee dining room, due to the cooking facilities in each living unit.
Adventure is part of what we do at Ticaboo and you can too as an employee! We are situated 10 miles north of Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell and right in the middle of millions of acres of public land. Whether you want to fish, hike, explore, swim, camp, take photos or more, it's all right out of your front door - literally.
