Company: The Wagon Box, a small-town restaurant and bar located in Story, Wyoming, with a unique vintage atmosphere that honors famous writers.

Position Overview:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of The Wagon Box. This includes managing the front of the house, overseeing the kitchen, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience. The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the owner to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability while maintaining the highest quality and customer service standards. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining the unique vintage atmosphere of the restaurant, which includes upholding a dress code, and appearance standards, and promoting a library-inspired ambiance in the restaurant, bar, and cafe. We are a beautiful large facility in the gorgeous mountains of northern Wyoming, so this brings people from all over to our perfect location for Events such as conferences and Weddings. The Manager will be involved with working on these events. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision
• Ensure that the restaurant is in compliance with all local health and safety regulations
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff and vendors
• Train and manage front-of-house staff, including servers and bartenders, ensuring that they are adhering to the dress code, appearance standards, and promoting the vintage atmosphere
• Ensure that all menu items are prepared and served according to restaurant standards
• Monitor food and beverage inventory and place orders as needed
• Manage the restaurant's budget and financial performance
• Create and implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and increase sales
• Collaborate with the owner to plan and execute special events and promotions
• Respond to customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve issues
• Maintain the ambiance of the restaurant by promoting a library-inspired atmosphere, including serving high-end beer and a general exquisite feel of the services we provide.

Qualifications:

• Proven restaurant management experience
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance
• Knowledge of food service regulations and sanitation standards
• Knowledge of menu planning and pricing
• Strong understanding of customer service and hospitality
• Experience in promoting a unique vintage atmosphere and dress code for staff
