About The Totem Inn

Denali Totem Inn, located at Mile 248.7 of the George Parks Highway in Healy, Alaska, is a family-owned and operated establishment that has been providing authentic Alaskan hospitality for two generations. Situated just 11 miles north of the Denali National Park entrance, our inn offers year-round accommodations for travelers seeking comfort and adventure. 

Our Facilities:

  • Accommodations: We offer well-appointed rooms equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioning, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, and flat-screen TVs. Guests can also enjoy our state-of-the-art fitness center, an Endless Pool with two current motors, and a sauna. 

  • Dining: Our on-site family-style restaurant and café serve a variety of dishes, from handcrafted burgers to Mediterranean specialties. We take pride in our in-house preparations, including daily hand-pressed hamburger patties and fresh-cut French fries.

  • Entertainment: The lively pub offers a range of activities, including arcade games, pool tables, and electronic darts. Guests can also enjoy watching sports on our five large flat-screen TVs.

Denali Totem Inn offers comfortable and convenient employee housing designed to help our team feel at home while living and working in Healy, Alaska.

Each employee is provided with their own private room featuring a private bathroom, offering a personal and quiet space to relax after work. Rooms are fully furnished and move-in ready, including a bed, dresser, and basic necessities.

Housing features include:

  • Private room with en-suite bathroom

Housing is offered at a low monthly rate of $300, deducted directly from your paycheck for convenience.

Getting to Healy, Alaska – Travel Information for Denali Totem Inn Employees

Healy is a small town located just 11 miles north of Denali National Park, nestled in the heart of Alaska's interior. While remote, it’s accessible by several travel options depending on your starting point. Here’s how to get here:

✈️ By Air

  • Fly into Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) – This is the closest major airport to Healy, about 2 hours (110 miles) by car.

  • Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is another option, about 5 hours (250 miles) away by car.

🚗 By Car

  • From Fairbanks, take the George Parks Highway (AK-3 South) directly to Healy.

  • From Anchorage, take AK-1 North to AK-3 North toward Denali.

The drive is incredibly scenic and well-maintained during the summer months.

🚂 By Train

  • Alaska Railroad offers daily summer service between Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali Park, and Fairbanks.

  • You can book a ticket to Denali Park Station, which is about 11 miles south of Healy.
