  • Night Auditor

    Guest Services
    Greenough

    We are looking for candidates that are responsible, driven, have a passion for providing excellent guest service to join our Lodging team as Night Auditor. The Night Auditor oversees the resort’s daily accounting and reporting process and provide guests with the best possible service.

    THE AVAILABLE SHIFTS ARE:

    Seasonal, Full-time: four, ten hour shifts a week- 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM

    Seasonal, Part-time: three, ten hour shifts a week- 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain warm, welcoming and professional demeanor when greeting and interacting with all guests.
    • Check guests in and out, ensuring proper payment is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is recorded.
    • Converse with the guests at a high level, being aware of their needs and fulfill special guest requests as instructed by management or the guest directly.
    • Ensure confidentiality of guests before and throughout their stay.
    • Create guest folders within the resort systems for each arriving reservation.
    • Answer all inquiries via phone, email, or in person in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Oversee the guest’s account close out process, ensuring all accounts balance and all revenue is reported accurately.
    • Maintain guest folios and appropriate billing needs to ensure all guest final bills are accurate.
    • Perform nightly account audits through resort system in a prompt manner.
    • Follow set procedures on posting charges and settling guest accounts.
    • Reconcile all receipts from various departments to ensure charges are posting accurately and receipts are signed.
    • Email appropriate department Managers when charge discrepancies are located.
    • Assist day/evening Front Desk shifts in creating guest Welcome Packets and Turndown Letters, and other Front Office tasks as needed.
    • Practice punctuality and timeliness when it comes to scheduled shifts.
    • Maintain a high level of attention to detail at all time.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Minimum 1 year of Night Audit experience
    • Proven excellent customer services skills, communication skills, and organizational skills
    • Proven computer, typing, and Microsoft Office experience and skills
    • Valid Driver’s License; Meet company driving policy

  • Activities Manager

    The Activities Manager assists the Director of Activities in planning, organizing and executing all aspects of the Activity Program at The Resort at Paws Up. The Activities Manager ensures that each activity and activity guide is prepared according to the Activities Department standards. The Activities Manager will work closely with the Director of Activities to ensure the continued success of the Activities Department.

    The position of the Activities Manager is a highly responsible and challenging role, suitable for those who have proven experience in leadership, communication, time management, scheduling, conflict resolution, safety and organizational skills. This is a high-pace work environment and the candidate must be adept to changes made at the last minute.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Promote The Resort at Paws Up’s activities across property and to all guests.
    • Schedule team members according to volume of business; understand how to flex when necessary to meet labor expectations; possess the ability to adjust daily operations to be in line with the budget.
    • Manage recruiting, hiring, training and developing Activity Guide team members; plan and provide training and guidance daily, weekly and monthly.
    • Interact with team members, guests, management and ownership in a professional and caring manner.
    • Provide knowledge of all activity programs, procedures and prices to inform other departments and guests regarding programs.
    • Assign team members to daily activities.
    • Work closely with other departments on providing effective communication, planning and organization to ensure all Activities needs are met.
    • Provide a level of service that meets the highest standards in the Hospitality industry.
    • Oversee team members to ensure consistent department practices.
    • Maintain and motivate Activity Guide team members.
    • Communicate with the Director of Activities on all pertinent program information.
    • Create weekly departmental work schedules.
    • Be a decisive team leader, offer experience developing and motivating team members and provide effective training programs. Create and maintain an environment that addresses the personal and professional needs of all team members through the mission and culture of the company. Monitor and communicate performance of all team members.
    • Ensure Activities that team members maintain performance factors as established in respective job descriptions, including attendance, teamwork, initiative and productivity.

    • Monitor personal and team hours to responsibly control and fairly distribute approved overtime when necessary.
    • Assist in equipment maintenance and care.
    • Assume responsibilities and tasks when the Director of Activities is out of the office.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • 3+ years of direct management experience including managing people and being accountable for
    operations
    • Demonstrated experience working with various activities, such as mountain biking, fly-fishing and ATV
    riding
    • Experience working at a resort, club or similar type of property
    • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving policy

  • Executive Sous Chef

    Culinary

    We are currently hiring for the position of Executive Sous Chef. There are two opportunities as Executive Sous Chef, one is for the Main Village and the other for Outdoor Dining.

    The role of the Executive Sous Chef- Village is to assists in the overseeing, supervising, and coordinating food production and execution for the multiple dining outlets at The Resort at Paws Up.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Supervise culinary team members of multiple culinary outlets to ensure that methods of cooking, garnishing and portion sizes are as prescribed by recipes and adhered to consistently.
    • Exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the team members and managing all food related functions.
    • Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
    • Meet daily with Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to coordinate and ensure production standards, determine specials, employee meals, review outlet/event personnel needs and issues, etc.
    • Assist in the development of menus and food items.
    • Work to continually improve guest dining satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
    • Improve service by communicating and assisting to understand and guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
    • Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
    • Schedule staff according to volume of business; understand how to flex when necessary to meet labor expectations; ability to adjust daily operations to be in line with the budget.

  • Activities Guide

    Activities

    Is being outdoors your passion? Do you enjoy teaching, guiding and enriching the lives of others in an outdoor environment? If so, becoming an Activities Guide with The Resort at Paws Up is the job for you. The Activities Guide position allows you to work outside while sharing your love for the area and the activity amenities such as hiking trails, archery, skeet shooting, ATV trails, ropes course, river and lake crafts and the list goes on.
    We are currently seeking adventurists, sports enthusiasts, outgoing individuals and customer-focused applicants with a strong work ethic to join our Activities department for the summer.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Lead guests on hikes, archery, mountain biking, the ropes course, ATV tours, climbing, skeet shooting and river and lake expeditions.
    • Perform safety review and instruction for each guided activity for participants.
    • Lead expeditions independently for a maximum of 12 attendees and co-lead expeditions for a maximum of 24 attendees.
    • Share a passion for the outdoors.
    • Perform physical and administrative duties for the preparation and completion of each activity expedition.
    • Work closely with Activities management, co-workers and other departments to provide effective communication, planning and organization to ensure all Activities needs are met.
    • Remain calm under pressure; handle crisis management as it unfolds and remain flexible to change as events happen.
    • Be organized and detail-oriented, utilize checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone, anticipate unexpected events and remain focused on results.

  • Line Cook

    Culinary

    Our Culinary department is currently hiring for the positions of Line Cook. The Line Cooks prepare and produce food according to the Restaurant outlet’s menu. The Cook positions will work in the main kitchen as well as opportunities across The Resort’s property at the Equestrian Center, Glamping Camps, Outdoor Events, along the Rivers, etc.

    We are looking for genuinely kind and personable individuals to share our culinary vision with our guests. This is an opportunity to meet and talk to our guests and to develop a trust for Paws Up and foster our ability to curate a vacation experience we would expect for ourselves. You will learn not only from our core team, but also from talented chefs visiting from across the nation. Applicants should be responsible, energetic and above all positive.     PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Set up station with predetermined mise en place to ensure everything will be ready for service
    • Cook all food according to recipe, quality and presentation standards
    • Ability to set up, break down and operate a culinary station independently
    • Prepare recipes alongside our culinary team to meet service deadlines

    • Collaborate with our Chefs to gain insight, develop menus and maintain consistency

  • Assistant Housekeeping Manager

    Our Lodging department is hiring an Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Prepared with a keen knowledge of The Resort at Paws Up’s luxury accommodations, public areas and high service standards, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager will work with supervisors, inspectors, maintenance technicians and team leads to ensure that all accommodations and public areas are prepared and maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and quality. In addition, all housekeeping services provided to guests are performed in conjunction with Forbes standards. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper and the Assistant Executive Housekeeper in all areas of the Housekeeping operation.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Arrival inspections on all cabins/tents to ensure that accommodations are cleaned and staged to meet Paws Up and Forbes standards prior to guest arrival.
    • Inspecting periodic daily service and turndown cleans to ensure that Forbes standards are being met.
    • Inspecting public areas throughout the day/evening to ensure that Forbes standards are being met.
    • While inspecting cabins/tents, document and correct deficiencies found in the accommodation or call back housekeeping teams to correct deficiencies when appropriate.
    • Manage a quality-control inspection point chart to be filled out daily to measure team accomplishments and deficiencies based upon arrival, daily and turndown inspections.
    • Communicate with Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper about any deficiencies found with either the cleanliness or the staging of the accommodations after housekeeping has serviced the homes so that corrective measures/training can take place.
    • Review all daily reports and arrival manifests for incoming guests during shift stand-up meetings to ensure that special needs from the department are met.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related coursework
    • Previous basic cleaning experience preferred, not required
    • Proven customer services skills, communication skills and organizational skills

    Our Wranglers add to the memorable experience for our guests. Wranglers take guests on trips on horseback around property while being professional, having a positive outlook, taking ownership of their work and creating a safe environment where people can grow and create unforgettable memories.

    Candidates must have premier customer-service skills, the ability to multitask, exceptional interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills—all while maintaining an above-and-beyond attitude.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Leading guest trail rides on “green” horses
    • Instruct guests on basic horsemanship, assisting guests onto horses, guiding them on rides and conversing about the horses, The Resort and the history of the area to provide an exemplary guest experience
    • Prepare horses for trail rides and horse-related activities, such as grooming, bridling, saddling, feeding, doctoring and tack repair
    • Working horses in the preseason, using Vaquero techniques
    • General ranch chores
    • Assist in daily herd-health management and identify injuries or soundness issues prior to selecting horses for activities; assist in basic veterinary care as needed
    • Focus on the safety of guests, self, coworkers and livestock while executing daily job duties
    • Assist with dispatching rides and assigning horses as needed

  • Landscaping Laborer

    Come work on our Landscaping team as a Landscaping Laborer! The Landscaping Laborers perform the mowing, trimming, rock work maintenance and upkeep around The Resort at Paws Up.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Mow lawn areas around The Resort at Paws Up to specifications by operating and using hand and power mowing equipment.
    • Operate various mowers, string trimmers, hand tools and light maintenance equipment.
    • Perform inspections of facilities and grounds and report any situations of concern in an immediate manner.
    • Use safely and respect company tools, vehicles and equipment and report damage or problems to department supervisor.
    • Operate string trimmers to trim around flowerbeds, trees, bushes and grass areas.
    • Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis.
    • Report equipment problems or failure to the Maintenance department and Landscaping Manger.
    • Clean the maintenance areas daily.
    • Maintain a high level of awareness and attention to detail.
    • Assist with grooming and maintaining activity trails.
    • Assist with pest control on resort grounds.
    • Complete all landscaping duties as assigned.

  • Maintenance Technician

    We are currently hiring for Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician provides services in the support of acquisition, operation and lifecycle maintenance of The Resort at Paws Up’s facilities. Maintenance Technicians contribute to minor and major facility improvements, renovations and upkeep of new and old facilities.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform general maintenance on equipment, units, buildings, etc.
    • Support and improve maintenance services that effectively address problems affecting guests and employees.
    • Manage repair and maintenance projects and building improvements by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks.
    • Coordinate maintenance efforts with affected departments.
    • Preform preventative maintenance.
    • Operate hand tools, power tools and other shop equipment. Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance.

    • 2 years of technical training
    • Knowledge and experience working with electrical, plumbing, general building maintenance equipment and experience performing repairs for a facility

    We are currently seeking Guest Service Agents to join our Guest Services team! To provide guests the best service through transportation and answer guest questions through their check in and checkout process.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain a warm, welcoming and professional demeanor when greeting and interacting with guests
    • Assist with the guest check-in/checkout process with The Resort by reviewing guest’s itinerary, assisting with Paws Up app questions and in general assisting guests in their needs
    • Pick-up/drop-off guests from the airport, their accommodations and various locations on property
    • Drive and operate gasoline or diesel-powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport guests safely
    • Provide property accommodation tour upon drop-off to lodging accommodation. Deliver guest luggage from vehicle. Inform guests of notable elements and operation of lodging accommodations. Assist guests with app setup and answer any questions about their itinerary
    • Ensure that pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports are completed throughout shift. Check condition of the vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order
