The Oasis at Death Valley operates two hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing corporate and property specific training programs at The Oasis at Death Valley. The person in this role will plan and execute deliverables to accomplish department goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult with property GM, Learning and Development Manager, and HR Director, to determine annually which training programs will be offered as well as adding Xanterra standardized programs across departments.
- Coordinate scheduling, materials preparation, and the facilitation of all programs according to standard.
- Ensure that Xanterra Hospitality Standards are in place throughout the resort. Periodically monitor the property to ensure that all standards are upheld.
- Support and facilitate new employee orientation programs; maintain the standardization of content and delivery.
- Periodically audit a random sample of How’s It Going (HIG) forms for each department, ensuring that they are completed for each current employee.
- Perform annual random audits ensuring that each employee personnel file contains an updated Employee Training and Attendance (ETA) form.
- Update and/or develop new HIG forms; train managers on the proper use of HIG’s.
- Monitor and follow-up with GM and HR Director regarding the status of new management hires, ensuring that they receive all Company and Property required training.
- Assist the property Risk Manager with the standardization and facilitation of company risk management training programs, including Safety Training.
- Responsible for roll out, reporting and support of LMS (Learning Management System).
- Assist the Risk manager with the implementation and coordination of drug and alcohol training.
- Assist with departmental audits, providing quarterly reports.
- Provide support to all departments to ensure that goals related to training are met on a timely basis.
- Develop, update and publish monthly training calendar.
- Assist with new employee paperwork and enter into Lawson when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently have or receive within first year: CHT (Certified Hospitality Trainer).
- Currently have or receive within first year: CIG, CIT (Certified Interpretive Trainer).
- Currently have or receive immediately: TIPS Trainer Certification, ServSafe Trainer/Proctor Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Must be able to live and work in extreme temperatures.
