The Home Ranch is a rustic guest ranch where we showcase exceptional guest experiences and fine cuisine all amidst a spectacular setting in the Elk River Valley. Off and on-ranch activities are many and we welcome those that wish to make the most of their time in the area.

Twenty miles north of the Steamboat Springs Ski Area.

About The Home Ranch

The Home Ranch is always looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill its staff ranks. If you love working with people and appreciate the beauty of the Colorado Rockies, perhaps you would be interested in a job at our guest ranch.

Ideal Candidate

We desire employees who love the outdoors, people, teamwork, and who are eager and willing to jump in to lend a hand wherever or whenever needed on the ranch.

We are a good fit for hard workers that will be comfortable in our more remote location.

Room and Board

We provide three meals to all staff daily. On site housing varies from small individual cabins to shared houses. The types available depends on needs, availability & gender. We supply the bed linens, towels, basic cooking items and furnishings.

Getting Here and Getting Around

The Home Ranch is 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs, CO. Staff are welcome to bring their own vehicles.

If you are flying in, Hayden Airport (HDN) is the closest and we are happy to pick you up. Alternatively, you can fly into Denver and take a shuttle up to Steamboat. We will arrange for transportation from the shuttle to the ranch as well.

For Fun

On the ranch, staff enjoy horseback riding and ample hiking in the area's Routt National Forest and Mt. Zirkel Wildness during the summer. In the winter, they enjoy learning how to cross country ski and snowshoe on our 30km of maintained trails.

Being located 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs gives staff the opportunity to enjoy the ski resort's world famous powder in the winter and great mountain biking in the summer.
