Are you enthusiastic about caring for the comfort of guests while creating memories that last a lifetime? The Grand Hotel is a 3-diamond hotel that has 121 standard and deluxe guest rooms and is located only one mile from the south entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.
THE DETAILS
Wage: $25.70 per hour
Position Type: Full Time, Year Round
Start Date: Immediately
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must Possess valid/clear Arizona Driver’s License and comply with the Xanterra Tusayan, LLC Company Vehicle Policy.
- Five years minimum supervisory or foreman experience in building construction, construction maintenance or maintenance engineering type operation is preferred.
- Journeyman certification in one of the following trades; electrician, plumber, carpenter or refrigeration/HVAC is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Uniform Building Codes is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the main crafts trades including electrician, plumbing, carpentry, painting, boiler technician and refrigeration/HVAC is preferred.
- Experience in scheduling thirty-plus staff for seven day a week operation is preferred.
- Experience with Word and Excel software, plus possess good verbal communication skills with ability to give instructions clearly is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the facilities crafts trade’s personnel in the day to day operations of the Facilities Department.
- Ensure that work orders are being properly assigned and completed in a timely manner, and work order paperwork is properly completed.
- Ensure that work orders involving revenue rooms are given first priority to keep out-of -order time and guest inconvenience to a minimum. Conduct continual follow-up on work orders to ensure completion and quality.
- Coordinate with Risk Management, follow-up and completion of noted life safety work orders.
- Provide technical assistance to the crafts personnel as necessary.
- Schedule crafts personnel ensuring that weekend coverage is available. Keep overtime to a minimum.
