    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position will provide a variety of guest services at the highest possible level for guests and homeowners. Responsible for managing all aspects of the front office department, and leading the guest services team to provide the highest quality services and products while supporting the hotel’s vision, mission and values.    This position is responsible for training team members in delivering the ultimate guest experience, utilizing the property’s service principles and standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead, direct and manage the guest services team
    • Provide the necessary training, education, and expected service standards for front desk agents and bell staff to provide exemplary service to guests and owners
    • Participate in the hiring processes for front office staff. 
    • Monitor post stay surveys and reviews through Revinate platform.  
    • Communicate with internal & external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to resolve conflict
    • Create and produce reports as required
    • Participate in property initiatives
    • Attend department and property meetings in absence of Front Office Manager
    • Proactively identify potential guest issues
    • Work with FOM to perform associate evaluations, provide coaching and development
    • Monitors guest satisfaction processes, and responds to guest concerns, and inquiries
    • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of front and lobby areas
    • Actively promotes property culture and associated initiatives and processes
    • Recognize and manage emergency situations
    • Other duties as assigned

     QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience leading members of diverse teams and directing multi-layered departmental operations in fast paced, physically demanding duties and indoor/outdoor environments
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a 4-diamond quality hotel/resort/conference center in a managerial customer service role
    • Knowledge in property management systems is highly desirable, and technical proficiency in Microsoft applications is required
    • Customer service experience in a high-volume/high-quality environment with the ability to problem solve, identify and resolve the situation
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, organization and time management skills
    • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer systems
    • Remain calm and professional under stress and have conflict management and resolution skills
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information related to guests and employees
    • Ability to work autonomously with minimal or no supervision

     WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
    • Must be able to stand/walk 8 hours per day
    • The ability to work well in a team 
    • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to multitask 
    • Exhibit exceptional attention to guest service while performing strenuous indoor/outdoor duties and labor intensive tasks 
    • Clean driving record and ability to drive a large vehicle

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for the daily completion of all in‑unit maintenance work orders, maintenance of all Gant units in a state of good repair, and performance of in‑unit semi‑annual preventive maintenance programs.

     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Daily completion of Maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Quality completion work orders pertaining to all areas of In‑Unit Maintenance including:
      • Kitchens and appliances.
      • Thermostats, zone valves and heat registers.
      • Furniture repair.
      • Bathroom and fixtures.
      • Electrical fixtures and lamps.
      • Doors, locks, deadbolts.
      • Carpentry repairs.
      • Semi‑annual preventive maintenance programs.
    • Utilize online work order system and inventory software used for daily and monthly billing procedures.  
    • Assist with the purchase, receipt, storage and control of all in‑unit Maintenance supplies, equipment and tools.
    • Assist with the performance of regular inventories and maintenance of necessary supplies.
    • Daily cleanliness of the maintenance office and shop.
    • Complete of special projects as assigned.
    • A general understanding of the following:
      • Heat and hot water systems
      • Water softener
      • Fire and safety equipment
      • Elevators
      • Pools and spas
      • Gant Vans
      • Sprinklers
    • Winter snow removal as required.
    • Adhere to safe lifting procedures.
    • Knowledge and understanding of all fire and emergency procedures and Gant safety standards; 
    • Continually monitor all work areas for safety and sanitation.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

     QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous maintenance or property management in luxury hotel or residences preferred.
    • Experience with electric and small hand tools such as a power saw or drill, basic understanding of plumbing, electric, appliances and carpentry.
    • Ability to respond to multiple demands in fast paced environment with a positive attitude.
    • Availability and willingness to work additional hours when necessary to guarantee quality work and a safe property and facilities.
    • Honest, dependable, able to initiate and work well on own.
    • Cooperative with all levels of team members, guests, owners.

     WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • Property includes 143 condominium units accessible by floor via elevator.  Some units on each floor accessible only by small flight of stairs.  
    • All units contained in 10 buildings on 5 acres within walking distance: work will require traversing outdoors with potential for adverse conditions and exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces, and occasional outdoor work.
    • Maintenance workshop accessible by stairs and equipped with all necessary equipment to perform services for units and grounds as well as an inventory of supplies for in-unit repairs.
    • Storage areas containing pool and spa chemicals, lawn equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, lawn fertilizers, and chemicals such as snow melt, fertilizer, etc.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, and furniture such as hide-a-beds and mattresses approximately five days continuously, twice a year, and as needed.
    • Manual dexterity required for using manual and power tools, fixing electrical fixtures and appliances, furniture repair, etc., as well as repairing gardening equipment, planting, cleaning and maintenance of pools and spas, etc., repetitively, on a daily basis.
    • Ability to climb stairs, bend over and kneel in order to check heat valves, crawl under stairways, reach to replace fire bricks, stretch, push a refrigerator and pull a loaded dolly, and lift and carry 50-75 pounds at a time on a daily basis.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    To provide maximum levels of guest service, van transportation, luggage handling, bell person service, and other designated service in accordance with the goals and standards established by Gant management.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide guest services through van transportation, luggage handling, amenity delivery and general bellman services in a cheerful, courteous, efficient and professional manner.
    • Be aware of the hours of operation and service levels of entire property.  Know the location and hours of operation of Aspen's restaurants, shops, various activities and transportation vehicles.
    • Keep vans clean and well maintained at all times, with sufficient gas, oil, and window washer fluid.
    • Close the pools, hot tubs, and saunas according to seasonal schedules.
    • Must maintain a neat, clean and friendly appearance wearing a clean and neat uniform including proper footwear, a belt, and nametag.
    • Know and follow parking and driving regulations in town and at the airport; pay own traffic tickets.
    • Employ safe lifting procedures at all times.
    • Continually monitor all work areas for safety and sanitation.
    • Correct any dangerous situation that may present itself.  Initiate action and follow through.
    • Have a working knowledge of the Bell Person Training Manual and Emergency and Safety Manual. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record to be checked through insurance 
    • Effectively communicate both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Bilingual a plus.
    • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
    • Service industry background preferred. 

     WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to climb stairs, bend over, reach and stretch to load heavy luggage on to luggage racks on van roofs, lift and carry 75–100-pound luggage repetitively on a daily basis.
    • Driving the Gant van in varying weather conditions including snow, ice and rain.
    • Regularly work outdoors with adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
    • Mobility within the town of Aspen and the entire Gant property.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    To provide maximum levels of guest service through efficient guest registration, interdepartmental communication, and problem resolution.  This position involves all front office activities as they relate to guest service and friendly communication with and between all departments.

    • Provide guest services in a courteous and friendly manner.
    • Maintain the front desk as a communication center for the entire property and staff, with smooth, friendly, and efficient operations.
    • Register guests and maintain accurate guest information, including guest charges.
    • Provide accurate and complete operations according to The Gant policy.
    • Maintain cash drawer, including petty cash accounting.
    • Provide accurate information about The Gant, the community, and special attractions and activities.
    • Solve problems courteously and efficiently, and to alert the appropriate supervisor for follow-through if necessary.
    • Process all mail, messages, and deliveries for guests and homeowners.
    • Keep the office clean and neat at all times, monitor all work areas for safety and sanitation.
    • Have a working knowledge of the emergency and safety manuals to provide a safe environment.  Know the safety and emergency procedures.
    • Correct any dangerous situation that may present itself.  Initiate action and follow through.
    • Have a working knowledge of the Front Desk Training Manual.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required.
    • Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
    • Effective communication both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Bilingual a plus.
    • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
    • Hotel computer systems background preferred.  

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • The primary work area is the front desk, lobby, and office area.
    • Extensive computer and telephone operation.
    • Extensive contact with guests.
    • Fast paced work environment with multi-tasked duties.
    • Assist bell staff with luggage deliveries if necessary.
    • Spend most of the day standing.
    • Visual ability to read computer screens and switchboard.
    • Manual dexterity involved in typing, operating a PBX, and passing documents to guests over the front desk.
