  • Cashier/Barista

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Pepperjack's Cafe is looking for a friendly and experienced server to provide excellent service to our guests. As a member of our team, your main responsibilities will include taking food orders from guests, serving meals, and collecting payments. Successful candidates will have a passion for customer service and previous experience in the restaurant industry. If you perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and you enjoy working with other front and back of house staff to deliver high-quality guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Welcome guests, take their orders, ring in orders in POS system, deliver prepared order to guest and receive payment for order

    • Complete opening/closing checklists according to standards

    POSITION SUMMARY To provide maximum levels of guest service, van transportation, luggage handling, bell person service, and other designated service in accordance with the goals and standards established by Gant management.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide guest services through van transportation, luggage handling, amenity delivery and general bellman services in a cheerful, courteous, efficient and professional manner.
    • Be aware of the hours of operation and service levels of entire property.  Know the location and hours of operation of Aspen's restaurants, shops, various activities and transportation vehicles.
    • Keep vans clean and well maintained at all times, with sufficient gas, oil, and window washer fluid.
    • Close the pools, hot tubs, and saunas according to seasonal schedules.
    • Must maintain a neat, clean and friendly appearance wearing a clean and neat uniform including proper footwear, a belt, and nametag.
    • Know and follow parking and driving regulations in town and at the airport; pay own traffic tickets.
    • Employ safe lifting procedures at all times.
    • Continually monitor all work areas for safety and sanitation.
    • Correct any dangerous situation that may present itself.  Initiate action and follow through.
    • Have a working knowledge of the Bell Person Training Manual and Emergency and Safety Manual.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    POSITION SUMMARY To provide maximum levels of guest service through efficient guest registration, interdepartmental communication, problem resolution, and account balancing. This position involves all front office activities as they relate to guest service, account balancing, and friendly communication with and between all departments.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide guest services in a courteous and friendly manner.
    • Maintain the front desk as a communication center for the entire property and staff, with smooth, friendly, and efficient operations.
    • Register guests and maintain accurate guest information, including guest charges.

    POSITION SUMMARY Room Attendants will provide the best and friendliest service to our guest and homeowners. This position will perform all functions as they pertain to the cleanliness and upkeep of the units and The Gant property as a whole.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide cheerful, efficient service for Gant owners and guests.
    • Know and understand all types of Housecare services performed at The Gant: Stay-overs, Midweek, Checkouts, Trash & Towels, Deep Cleans and Construction Cleans.
    • Clean guest units: Sweep and mop floors, vacuums carpet, dusts furniture, makes beds, kitchen, dishes, trash removal, bathrooms, stocking units with supplies.
    • Understand proper use of all cleaning chemicals.
    • Be responsible for cleaning assigned units or areas according to written performance standards in a timely and efficient manner, and completing all corrections as assigned by supervisor.
    • Dispose of all trash and ashes in designated trash compactor or ash can.  
    • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the property and Housecare work areas by keeping linen closets and storage areas neat and clean, and by being cautious regarding trash disposal.      
    • Ensure proper placement of clean linens on services and proper disposal of dirty linens in maid’s closet bins.
    • Report to work promptly as scheduled and do not depart until released by supervisor.
    • Check out and return all keys to Housekeeping Supervisor daily.
    • Punch in and out on phone system on all services.
    • Ensure that daily assignment sheet accurately reflects services performed.
    • Maintain neat, clean appearance, wearing Gant uniform, and nametag. 
    • Turn in lost and found items and tag items left behind by guests.            
    • Be willing to perform any tasks outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Housekeeping Department or The Gant as a whole.
    • Prompt reporting of any maintenance/damage/missing items from units.
    • Promote good owner/guest relations through courteous service and special cleaning requests.                             
    • Attend all housekeeping meetings.

    POSITION SUMMARY The Reservation Agent will assist in marketing and selling The Gant, Aspen’s premier condominium resort, provide guests and homeowners with the highest level of service, and assist in the functions of yield management and revenue maximization.  This position will perform all activities related to effective and efficient operation of reservations including; proper phone sales techniques, inventory management, pricing techniques and servicing and fulfilling guest needs and requests.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Efficiently and professionally process reservations calls, call backs, e-mail requests, and internet bookings.
    • Ensure proper booking information is recorded for each reservation.
    • Maintain inventory for online booking channels.
    • Maintain an efficient filing system for the reservations inbox, and respond to emails in a timely manner.
    • Collect and process deposits and final payments for confirmed bookings.
    • Assist in the unit assignment process using guest requests and the rotation report.
    • Collect and process data relating to local lodging market.
    • Maintain positive relationships with travel agents and wholesalers, especially those operating locally.
    • Assist in recognizing and maintaining relationships with repeat guests and top producing travel agents.
    • Serve as a backup to the front desk and bell staff when needed.
    • Assist sales department when necessary and maintain communication regarding groups and special offers.

  • Revenue Manager

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Revenue Manager will manage all leisure and group revenue channels including internet and GDS, voice, wholesale and travel agents. The Revenue Manager will assume a leadership role in the optimization of all property revenues including group and conference business, drive excellent guest service, and create a culture of revenue optimization at the property level.

     

    *Hiring Bonus: $500 on second paycheck + $500 after 90 days* 

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Revenue optimization duties including data collection, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, determining rates, minimums, and specials, and meeting facilitation.
    • Oversee the management of all online strategy and distribution channels including GDS, OTAs, Synxis, Inntopia, and other pertinent channels.
    • Provide continuous coaching for the staff on revenue optimization, sales processes, data collection and effective source coding, and effective departmental operation.
    • Facilitate bi-weekly Revenue Optimization meeting with General Manager, AGM, Director of Conference Services, DOSM, DOS, and other attendees.
    • Preparation of all yield reports including strategy boards, daily market segment tracking, forecast, weekly pick up, pace, and source of business.
    • Attend The Gant's Board of Directors meetings and present updates regarding ongoing revenue strategy.
    • Assist the director of sales and marketing in compiling monthly executive summaries as well as the annual marketing plan.
    • Primary contact for consortia, responsible for all RFP submissions and contracting.    
    • Work with sales staff to keep good relations with local, domestic and international tour operators and provide them with updated rates and specials.
    • Continue to explore and educate self and staff on the business possibilities of the e-marketing and the GDS and revenue optimization practices.
    • Guest service representative for guests, homeowners, travel agents, and tour operators as needed.
    • Oversee all unit assignments for accuracy and correct market segment, source codes, etc.
    • Direct and assist the reservations and front desk agents in performing their duties.
    • Create an environment conducive to teamwork.
    • Relieve reservations sales team on the phones as needed.
    • Have a working knowledge of the front office, concierge, conference, and sales operations.

      

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College Degree in related field or combination of education and experience.
    • Previous supervisory/management experience preferred, but not required. A full and thorough understanding of a resort operation.
    • Effective communication both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Bilingual a plus.
    • Willingness to work various hours and schedules.
    • Understanding of computer systems and complex reports; strong in Microsoft Office products including excel and other integrated Property Management Systems, preferably Spring Miller.
    • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect actual information, and resolve conflict.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is primarily responsible to serve as the liaison between the Sales Team and the Food and Beverage Team to ensure the execution of events and conferences, and assisting other F&B operations. This position will work directly with the guests, clients and homeowners providing the highest level of service, while assisting in the functions of group management, managing event execution, departmental communication and invoicing, while fostering return group business. 

     

    *Hiring Bonus: $500 on second paycheck + $500 after 90 days*

                                                                                                                                                  

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the execution of on property meetings and events; client and internal communication, prepare BEO's and service of events.
    • Effectively respond to general inquiries on the telephone and in person, and directing them appropriately
    • Create invoices, collect and process all deposits and final payments for group rooms, meetings and events.
    • Accountable for all release dates of group and payment dates as well as invoicing all groups.
    • Responsible for preparing and distributing the Event Schedules, BEOs, Change Log, and Banquet Checks on a daily/weekly basis. This includes the prompt distribution of last-minute changes to affected departments.
    • Prepare group VIP amenities.
    • Represent The Gant in site tours and on property as contact for current group questions.
    • Knowledge and understanding of all fire and emergency procedures and Gant safety standards.
    • Maintain positive relationships with group guests, clients, meeting planners, travel agents and wholesalers.
    • Comfort and agility in resolving unexpected issues that inevitably arise in event planning and execution
    • Assist in recognizing and maintaining relationships with repeat guests and meeting planners.
    • Assist sales department when necessary and maintain communication regarding groups and special offers.
    • Maintain positive relationships with homeowners and repeat guests.
    • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
    • Maintain constant contact with the Director of Sales, Sales Managers, Director of F&B and develop a good positive relationship.
    • Work closely with Director of Sales and Director of F&B to ensure that a comprehensive knowledge of client files exists in order to respond to client needs in the absence of the manager
    • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College degree preferred.
    • Event knowledge essential.
    • Group business knowledge essential.
    • Reservations experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, event and property management system.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Strong English oral and written communication skills in to be used in phone conversations, face-to-face interactions with guests, email, fax and written correspondence with clients and colleagues. Bi-lingual a plus.
    • Time management and organizational skills are necessary for multi-tasking.
    • Salesmanship and the ability to adequately position The Gant.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and time management/prioritization ability

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Small indoor and outdoor multi-task-oriented office involving the use of telephone, computer and AV equipment.
    • Considerable person to person contact with clients, homeowners, and guests. 
    • High levels of stress may be present when dealing with demanding clients and long hours on your feet.
    • Mobility through the Back of House, kitchen, restaurant and conference space (indoor/outdoor).
    • Regularly work outdoors with adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces during events or site tours.
    • Heavy lifting may be required when moving furniture for events.

    To provide maximum levels of guest service, van transportation, luggage handling, bell person service, and other designated service in accordance with the goals and standards established by Gant management.

    • Provide clear leadership and direction to the bell staff. 
    • Create an accountable, communicative, team-oriented environment such that the Bell / Valet team is striving to achieve and exceed expectations.

    • Communicate and work effectively with key executives across various functional lines to build and maintain productive relationships. Perform all of the above with the highest standard of excellence and integrity.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct bell staff and provide guest services through van transportation, luggage handling, amenity deliveries and other designated services in a cheerful, courteous, efficient and professional manner.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
    • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
    • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
    • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
    • Ensure that the Bell Desk is attended at all times.
    • Communicate anticipated business demands daily with each employee (arrivals/departures, group functions, etc).
    • Ensure staff's knowledge of hotel services, features and amenities.
    • Assign specific tasks as they arise.
    • Answer Bell Desk telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
    • Monitor and ensure that Bell Staff perform their job functions to the hotel's expected level of service.
    • Assist Bell Staff whenever necessary in performing all job functions.
    • Conduct training program on the required job functions with criterion expected and department orientation with new hires.  Conduct ongoing training with existing staff.
    • Accommodate all guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner.
    • Coordinate group luggage requirements.
    • Monitor and maintain the condition of lobby, entrance, Bell Desk and luggage storage areas.
    • Ensure that all pertinent information is documented in the log book daily including package receiving.
    • Conduct performance appraisals of designated staff annually.
    • Assist Front Desk staff with guest / guest room requests.
    • Must maintain a neat, clean and friendly appearance wearing a clean and neat uniform including proper footwear, a belt, and nametag.
    • Monitor e-mail and other hotel communications related to the position. 

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record to be checked through insurance
    • Effectively communicate both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Bilingual a plus.
    • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
    • Previous Bell Person experience
    • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers
    • Able to manage Bell Staff and run a successful shift unsupervised

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to climb stairs, bend over, reach and stretch to load heavy luggage on to luggage racks on van roofs, lift and carry 75–100-pound luggage repetitively on a daily basis.  Employ safe lifting procedures at all times.
    • Driving the Gant Van in varying weather conditions including snow, ice and rain.
    • Regularly work outdoors with adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
    • Mobility within the town of Aspen and the entire Gant property.
    • Summer grounds maintenance.
