Temple Bar is managed by Guest Services, Inc. Guest Services is an authorized concessioner of the National Park Service and state and public agencies, and operates under special use permits with the USDA Forest Service. Guest Services has been providing legendary service for over a century!
Temple Bar is located off AZ Highway 93 in northwestern Arizona on the side of the largest man-made reservoir in America: Lake Mead. It is about 5 hours from Phoenix and about 1.5 hours from Las Vegas.
About Temple Bar
Just 75 miles away from Las Vegas, Temple Bar Marina is located in the Temple Basin on the Arizona side of eastern Lake Mead. It’s the closest marina for Arizonans who want to get away from the more populated Boulder Basin area of Lake Mead.
Visitors To Temple Bar Marina enjoy easy access to hundreds of coves and beaches along Lake Mead’s vast shoreline.
In addition to a full-service marina, Temple Bar offers lake-view lodging, convenient RV parking with full hook-ups, an on-site convenience store/gift shop, seasonal cafe, and a launch ramp.
The area around Temple Bar Marina is especially well known for two things: the massive rock formation that gave the area its name and its 20 mile-long unobstructed water-ski runs that have every water sports enthusiast rushing to grab a rope! Temple Bar Marina has all the fun and amenities that you’d expect from Lake Mead.

Temple Bar has peak season from April through September. We prefer that seasonal employees be available to work the duration of peak season, but we are willing to consider applications from candidates who can commit to at least 3 months.
Positions we typically hire include Servers, Housekeepers, Cooks, Bartenders, Office staff, Dishwashers, Land Maintenance staff, Dock staff, and Retail staff. Tipped staff earn $9/hour plus tips, Supervisors earn $15/hour, and all other positions start at $12/hour.
On their first day, team members can expect to meet the General Manager and their direct supervisor followed by a New Hire Orientation and site tour. Team members typically work 40 hours per week. Restaurant team members may be required to work overtime and/or split shifts. Management does their best to allow for 2 consecutive days off per week, but it's not guaranteed. Team members may request days off, but depending on the needs of the business not all requests can be guaranteed. Management also does its best to grant couples the same days off, but this also can not be guaranteed.
Uniform shirts and name tags are provided. Team members must wear close-toed shoes and dress neat and clean. Shorts are allowed due to the heat but must be an appropriate length.
While not working, team members are encouraged to take advantage of the amenities of the property such as renting a boat, playing basketball or horseshoes, or relaxing in the common area for a game of pool, foosball, or darts. Team members may also travel to the closest small town of Boulder City (50 miles) for limited services or to the larger cities such as Henderson (65 miles) or Las Vegas (80 miles). Henderson has everything you could want; shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, casinos, adventure activities, museums, etc. Many team members also enjoy at least one trip to the famous Las Vegas Strip!
The ideal candidate is one who enjoys working with customers and providing a high level of service! Our team members work closely with our customers to ensure an amazing experience. We are seeking team members who are reliable, motivated, friendly, and flexible.
Team members must also be comfortable working in extreme heat as summers in this area can get very hot. Depending on the position, team members must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable working near water.
This location is 50 miles to the nearest small town so team members must be comfortable being in a very remote location.
Room and Board
Team Member Housing
Housing is available for team members. Employee housing options include dorm rooms with kitchenettes and single bedroom trailers with full kitchens. All housing is private. Team members must work full time to qualify for housing.
The cost for housing is $87.50 per check for room and board, $12.50 per check for utilities, and $12.50 per check for DIRECTV (optional). Checks are bi-weekly.
Team members should bring their own bedding. Some kitchen utensils are provided.
Couples housing may be available provided both are employed at the unit.
Pets are allowed upon the General Manager's permission.
There are coin-operated laundry facilities on property. One of the trailers in housing has a shared washer/dryer as well.
Team Members may arrive 2 days prior to their scheduled orientation date and stay 3-5 days after the end of the season depending on the circumstance.
Cell phone coverage: Verizon is the only carrier that gets service.
Internet: There is no Wi-Fi in team member housing. Many team members use a Mi-Fi device.
There are reserved sites within our trailer village for team members. Availability is extremely limited. Team members must work full time to qualify for a site.
The cost for an RV site is $95 per month for up to 2 people. Additional fees will be added for over 2 people due to electrical usage.
Pets are allowed provided they abide by the National Park Service Rules and Regulations.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Team members are allowed to bring their own personal vehicle. There is plenty of parking at no fee. Personal vehicles are required for transportation needs that are not work-related such as grocery store trips and other outings. The closest small town is 50 miles away.
For team members flying in, the closes airport is McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, NV. Arrangements for transportation onsite may be made with the manager of the department.
In addition to boat rentals, small craft activities, and day trip opportunities to Henderson and Las Vegas, there are plenty of fun activities in the near vicinity. Popular water activities include wakeboarding, kneeboarding, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and more! Team members can also use the onsite common area which includes a pool table, foosball, and darts. There is also a basketball and horseshoe area on the property.
