    Temple Bar Marina
    $12.00 / hour

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Cashier is responsible for receiving money from and disbursing money to customers, while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Identify items and corresponding cost of items and tabulate bills quickly and accurately using cash register, calculator, or other price equipment.
    • Issue receipts, refunds, credit, or change due to customers accurately.
    • Maintain cash register and contents within.
    • Turn in cash drawer and sales reconciliation at shifts’ end.
    • Smile and greet customers entering unit; answer customers’ questions, and provide information on company products, promotions, and policies.  Thank each customer.
    • Maintain clean and orderly cash station area; stock and maintain sales area with various supplies and products.
    • Maintain neatness and cleanliness of the retail operation.
    • Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.

    SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

    • Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred. 
    • Mathematic Skills.

  • Dock Hand

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Marina Dockhand is responsible for assisting with all marina services offered, quality control, and cash handling procedures; maintains a clean and safe dock area, assists boaters with fueling, and secures guests’ boats.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Fuel boats while maintaining a safe environment, following appropriate procedures and guidelines.
    • Pump out boats.
    • Maintain Marina maintenance, such as cleaning, weeding, removing trash, organizing, and ordering supplies.
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests, while directing customer issues to supervisor or unit manager.
    • Assist with docking of boats.

  • Housekeeper

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Housekeeper performs skilled and routine maintenance and tasks necessary to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the unit. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Clean assigned areas as directed by management and in compliance with the Company’s “green” initiatives.
    • Change linens and make beds. 
    • Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds.
    • Pull trash from trash receptacles.  Replace trash bags as needed.  Clear trash from tables and floors/grounds.
    • Clean and vacuum under beds, desk, gaming tables, and behind night stands.
    • Check and replace all missing items in rooms, including soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hangers, clocks, ice bucket liners, hair dryers, brochures, and stationery, etc.
    • Clean and ensure bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, bathroom scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes are spot, mold, mildew, and dust free. 
    • Sweep and mop all bathroom floors.
    • Dust all lights and sconces, make-up mirrors, and lampshades.
    • Perform laundry duties as assigned. 
    • Notify Supervisor of all quality control issues or needed repairs pertaining to the housekeeping of the facility.
    • Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.

  • Maintenance Specialist

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Maintenance Specialist assists by performing all aspects of maintenance and repair work on all mechanical, structural, and electrical equipment and systems on assigned locations.​

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Receive direction from Management and assist in the overall maintenance and repair of the assigned unit’s operations. 
    • Conduct scheduled inspections of designated buildings and equipment; check and repair equipment malfunctions.
    • Make repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment as needed.
    • Respond immediately and resolve emergency facility needs/issues regarding safety/security/business requirements, including fire alarm systems; disengage electrical, water, or gas systems as necessary.
    • Lock and secure all buildings and facilities; monitor, activate and reset automatic security systems as appropriate.
    • Assist Manager with inventory/security of supplies is adequate for the maintenance of units.
    • Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of facility’s equipment.  Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.    
    • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times. Maintain and enhance the company’s image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors.

    SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

    • Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.

  • Office Clerk

    JOB SUMMARY   

    Ensure that all invoices received for payment are processed in a timely manner and sent to Corporate for payment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receive and match all invoices to packing slips and purchase orders.
    • Process all invoices for payment after approvals from appropriate department head.
    • Accurately code all invoices, Special Disbursement Checks, and Petty Cash Disbursements.
    • Maintain vendor files.
    • Review vendor statements to ensure payments are being made in a timely manner and all account information is accurate.
    • Obtain necessary documentation from vendors (W-9s, etc.).
    • Perform full Cashiering duties.
    • Verify daily deposits and daily closeout paperwork from all departments and prepare monies received for bank deposits.
    • Prepare contracts for new renters and collect money.
    • Receive money from customers and post to accounts as well as daily deposits.
    • Aid moorage and Trailer Village customers' requests directly or through proper referral.
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all safety procedures.
    • Perform work in a manner protective of human health and the environment and promptly report any deviations of environmental policy to their supervisor.
    • Be aware of and participate, where necessary, in the achievement of environmental objectives and implementation of the environmental management system.
    • Answer the telephone in a professional manner.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
    • In Accounting Manager’s absence, administer Petty Cash.
    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a polite attitude to promote professionalism and a high standard of excellence.
    • Provide information to customers regarding the resort, the general area, and all upcoming activities.
    • Assist with maintaining the highest possible marina and occupancy rate through the rental of slips, dry storage and Trailer Village while providing the highest quality customer service to renters.
    • Prepare all requested reports regarding occupancy, receivables collection, and customer requests.
    • Maintain a clean work area.
    • Check and clean office and restroom daily or more often as needed.
    • Maintain and convey a thorough knowledge of all safety and environmental requirements.
    • Swift handling or notification of management concerning hazards or problems.
    • Assist in the program for Green Procurement.
    • Such other and further duties as are required from time to time, and as defined by Company Management.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma, GED, or other acceptable experience.
    • Minimum two (2) years accounts receivable experience with heavy customer service.
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in QuickBooks and all Microsoft Office programs.
    • Recreational boating experience preferred.
    • Minimum one (1) year money-handling and cash register experience.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of proper moorage and Trailer Village regulations and procedures.
    • Ability to type accurately.
    • Good computer skills – Excel and Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to understand and implement basic math skills.
    • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
    • Ability to keep and maintain organized records and filing systems.
    • Ability to count and account for large sums of money.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to interact calmly with both customers and employees under stressful conditions.

  • Wait Staff

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Wait Staff is responsible for taking food and drink orders from and serving all guests in assigned section of the dining room in a fast, courteous and efficient manner.  The Wait Staff must ensure correct billing procedures and provide excellent service to guests, ensuring level of service meets the Company’s standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Greet guests in a polite, positive manner; takes beverage orders. Check patrons’ identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
    • Answer questions about the menu and takes food orders. Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients, and cooking methods. Suggests any menu item.
    • Submit food order into kitchen.
    • Serve guests their desired entrees in a friendly, efficient manner.
    • Maintain pleasant dining experience.  Check on guests periodically throughout their meals and attends to their needs. Deliver check and completes transaction making accurate change when necessary.
    • Perform clean-up duties after each meal service; and, prepares and sets up for next meal.
    • Keep assigned tables clean and properly set up, including vacuuming and arranging tables and chairs. 
    • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
    • Report gratuities at the end of each shift as required by Company policy and law.
    • Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.
