Sweetwater Kitchen is inside of a Guest Ranch and located in the wilderness of Southern Utah. We are looking for an experienced server to act as our head server. Our restaurant is small but focused on customer service and experience. We also cater to many special events like retreats and weddings. Our restaurant culture is upbeat and supportive in a beautiful, remote setting. Our restaurant is farm-to-table as we have our own on-site garden and offer organic grass fed beef from local ranches.

Line Cook Job Description

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. A great cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up the kitchen and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry practices
