Staff member benefits include free on-site community-style housing (motel room style, 2-3 occupants per room), an hourly wage and equitable share of the tip pool paid out bi-weekly, one free meal daily, and free and discounted activities.
Our restaurant:
Our restaurant and bar are a cohesive unit, offering rustic comfort food and a variety of local craft beers and wines. We also host many community events, live music, and fundraisers. Every day, we get to rub shoulders with our fantastic community of locals, as well as the myriad of outdoor enthusiasts who come to adventure in this area. Our vision is to create a family-friendly environment where the whole community can feel welcome. Our mission as a business is to be the gathering place of North Routt County, creating a space where locals and visitors alike can build authentic relationships in a life-giving environment defined by high-level service and genuine hospitality and care for our guests. Our style of service is a unique hybrid of counter and table service. All team members should expect to jump in and help wherever needed, from bussing tables to pouring drinks. All tips (cash and credit) are pooled between front of house staff and distributed on your bi-weekly paycheck.

What does this job entail?
Guest services- create a warm and welcoming environment from the moment someone walks through the door to the moment they leave
Take orders at the counter, pour drinks, assist with running food, bussing tables, cleaning, side work etc...
Interact with guests in the dining room, check on them throughout their meal, refill drinks and bus tables
Follow opening and closing task lists to ensure a clean and professional presentation of the bar and dining room areas
Demonstrate safe alcohol service, including checking IDs and knowing how and when to cut someone off (all staff are required to take the Colorado ServSafe Alcohol training course. If possible, this should be completed before arrival at the Outpost).
Use Toast POS system effectively
Handle cash and credit card transactions
Assist with any other tasks or duties, as assigned, including helping other departments if needed (dishwashing, housekeeping etc...)
Required skills:
Excellent customer service skills
1+ year bartending experience
1+ year experience working in the restaurant industry
High School Graduate/GED equivalency
Valid driver’s license
ServSafe Alcohol certification
Ability to work in a standing position for 8-10 hours per day
Ability to lift 60lbs (50lbs overhead)
Preferred skills:
2+ years working in the hospitality/restaurant industry
