Steamboat Bay Fishing Club is the closest lodge to the best fishing spots of Alaska's famed Inside Passage. This exclusive wilderness luxury resort presides over a scenic, private bay on the north coast of Noyes Island near Ketchikan, Alaska, just 90 minutes from Seattle.

We are seeking a candidate with an extensive background in infrastructure associated with off-grid properties. Experience in Alaska is strongly preferred. Qualified applicants should be comfortable driving a forklift, operating boats and managing a rigorous maintenance schedule. Some admin work required, so basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is important. Supervisory experience is also preferred.

As we are a boutique operation in an intimate environment with our visitors, all positions are guest-forward in some capacity. This requires everyone to be diligent in their personal presentation even in off hours. For the benefit of the operation and fellow crew members, some rules are strictly enforced, including a no-drug policy and quiet hours.  

Room and Board Included.

Competitive Pay and Equal Share of Crew Gratuity Pool Included

Candidate should be comfortable with the below:

  • Be willing to obtain, or already have Alaskan CDL
  • Facilitating inventories and ordering relevant supplies for the department
  • Managing water system
  • Basic servicing of generators
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing mechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting and when able, repair of all areas associated with luxury remote camp
  • Fish processing and logistics
  • Crew and project scheduling and adherence

This position may have a team of 6 and report directly to the Resident Manager. 

This role can be seasonal and has the potential to be FT Year-Round.
