Have you always wanted to live and work out west in a beautiful small town?  Do you have experience in an office/administrative setting but are tired of working in a high rise in the middle of a big city?  If you are looking to utilize your management, customer service, and administrative skills in a more relaxed setting, this may the opportunity for you!

We are searching for the perfect applicant to fill the role of office manager at our family-owned dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming!  Individuals who apply for this position should be outgoing and personable, as you will have a ton of face time with the guests and are often the first, and last, impression that guests have of the ranch.  To be successful in this position, you also need to be organized and flexible as there is a lot happening in the office during the season and again at the end of the year when closing the books and doing year end accounting.  Working on a ranch can be unpredictable, and so this person should also be able to think on their feet and handle any situation that is thrown at them.  A love of dogs is also a plus as this person will often have a couple of canine office assistants :)

The primary responsibilities of the office manager include corresponding with guests before, during, and after their stay; hiring and managing certain seasonal staff members and maintaining all employee records; filing payroll each pay period; maintaining the accounting system by tracking and paying all bills and taxes on time; and working with local contractors to provide various services for our guests.  For more specific information on job duties and the complete job description, please email

This is a year round job, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.  Our guest season runs from May to the end of October; during this period, the office manager works six days a week from 8am to 5pm.  In the 'off season' (November 1 to April 30), the office manager works five days a week, Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm.  During the off season, the office manager has one month of paid vacation that they can utilize any time from November 1 to April 30.  As part of your salary, we provide year round housing in a private room with a private bathroom; all utilities are included.  During the season, meals are also provided but the office manager is required to provide their own food during the off season and has access to the commercial kitchen.  The salary for this position is dependent upon experience, and this person will also receive a year end bonus.

Spotted Horse Ranch is located about 25 minutes south of the town of Jackson, and is set right on the banks of the Hoback River.  We have 11 guest cabins on property, and a max capacity of about 34 guests.  This relatively small capacity allows us to get to know our guests personally, and we pride ourselves on being able to customize their experience with us and treat them like family.  Most of our clientele during the summer are families with children; during the fall season we cater to more adult groups, couples, solo travelers, and hunters.  Each season, about 35-40% of our guests are returners and another 25% are guests who came to us based on word of mouth recommendations.  Several of our staff members and guests have kept up over the years and have formed friendships outside of the ranch.  This is a truly special spot where we expect our staff members to work hard, but also encourage them to interact with the guests and enjoy all of the activities that the ranch and surrounding area has to offer!
