The Town Expediter is a crucial first point of contact for guests arriving at our fishing lodge. This role is responsible for providing a warm welcome, assisting with logistics, and ensuring a smooth transition from their arrival location to the lodge. Additionally, the Town Expediter manages the handling and organization of guests’ fish boxes, ensuring proper transport and storage. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival/departure in town and provide assistance with luggage and transportation.
Coordinate with Lodge/floatplane company to ensure timely and efficient guest transfers
Answer any initial questions and provide guests with important information about their stay
Maintain and drive refrigerator box truck
Ensure proper handling and storage to maintain the quality of the fish
Coordinate with the Lodge/floatplane company to ensure fish boxes arrive at the correct location
Communicate with the lodge team regarding changes in guest arrivals, delays, or special requests
Assist with other logistical tasks as needed to enhance guest experience
Ensure all equipment and supplies needed for guest arrivals are in place
Arrive at the Ketchikan Visitors Center booth one hour prior to each scheduled cruise ship arrival by reviewing the weekly cruise ship schedule
Engage with cruise guests, answer questions, and promote our fishing excursions using a provided sales sheet
Process payments for day trips using our Clover system
Coordinate with on-call captains to manage trip bookings in real time
Coordinate pickup of lodge supplies for weekly supply run
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift and transport heavy fish boxes safely (50lbs repeatedly)
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of fishing and outdoor recreation is a plus
