    Food and Beverage

    Dining Room Attendant

    $12.00 / hour + tips

    • Clear tables and unload their trays in the kitchen, separating the dishes, silverware, and linen. 
    • Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
    • Wipes table tops and chairs, using damp cloth.
    • Arrange tables and chairs to make room for large groups. 
    • Ensure the dining room is well stocked with utensils, napkins, glasses, tablecloths, and table decorations.
    • Dust woodwork, wash mirrors, vacuum carpets, clean and wax floors, and help to clean up spills. 
    • Sweep and mop floors.
    • Assist servers as necessary. 
    • Help serve food, carry heavy trays, and fill water glasses. 
    • Clear dishes from tables between courses. 
    • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
    • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings

    Dishwasher

    • Cleaning and setting tables and placing seasonal decorations, candles, and table cloths.
    • Keeping menus clean and presenting them to customers.
    • Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments, and assisting staff with all aspects of service.
    • Assisting in cleaning and opening or closing tasks.
    • Scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, washing dirty dishes, and putting them away.

    Food And Beverage

    F & B Supervisor

    $19.00 / hour

    • Meet and greet all customers where possible. 
    • Advise customers on all F&B choices and ensure the restaurant staff have similar product knowledge.
    • Supervise all kitchen and dining room activities and ensure optimal quality of all production and coordinate with guests to maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction and analyze all customer requirements and provide efficient response. 
    • Assist with the training of restaurant staff including holding annual performance reviews 
    • Assist with maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety throughout 
    • Collaborate with manager to review all employee performance and provide training to increase all performance and monitor all guest requests efficiently to achieve all customer objectives and maintain knowledge on all liquor regulations.
    • Manage all storage supplies and assign staff in all requisition activities and evaluate all daily specials. 
    • Oversee all work in shift and restock all supplies at end of shift and perform regular inspections on all equipment and recommend required repairs.
    • Ensure the Sorrel team are always well groomed and ready for work.

    • Candidate must have thorough knowledge of all menus, specials, wine lists, beers and drinks. 
    • Receive customers’ orders and relay them to the kitchen promptly and accurately.

    • Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving when necessary.

    Front Office

    Front Office - Guest Experience Makers

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by offering friendly attentive service to everyone.
    • Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously. 
    • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. 
    • Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action, and provide accurate hotel and area information. 
    • Be well-acquainted with all area attractions, current events, directions, and competition in the local community.
    • Perform essential front desk duties and responsibilities including: 
    • Process guest check-in and check-out smoothly and correctly.
    • Deliver all guest messages, mail, and packages in a timely manner. 
    • Operate front desk equipment including but not limited to: switchboard, Property Management System (PMS), fire panel, copier, calculator, fax, key machine, and printers. 
    • Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank.

    Hiker/Guide

    Tour guides lead groups of visitors through points of historical, cultural or regional interest. They provide in-depth knowledge about destinations frequented by tourists, vacationers and students. Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa is looking for experienced Hiker/Guide that can safely and knowledgeably guide guests thru local routes. Ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the area and has previously preformed these job functions. Seasonal position starting about Feb 1 to October 31- Nov 30, 2017.
    Housekeeping

    • The ideal candidates must be outgoing, punctual and have the ability to work alone or in a team environment.

    Housekeeping Supervisor

    Housekeeping Supervisor - seeking at least 1 year in a previous position in a lead or supervisory role in Housekeeping. This position is full time permanent. Housekeeping at Sorrel River Ranch requires the ability to interact with guests and other departments to meet the needs of our guests. Applicant must be outgoing, punctual and have the ability to work alone or in a team environment. Must be able to lift up to 35 Lbs, and bending, stooping and reaching are constant working conditions. Ideal candidate will have hotel housekeeping experience in a fast paced work environment, be able to multitask and be detail oriented. Must be able to read, write and understand English although bi-linguals preferred. May apply for on site housing.

    Property Operations

    Maintenance Technician

    Responsibilities may include plumbing, carpentry, HVAC work, working with pumps, light electrical, cleaning, moving equipment, light mechanical, preventative maintenance on vehicles and grounds equipment, drywall repair, painting, grounds work and other additional assigned duties.


    Plumbing:  Includes the repair, replacement, and installation of faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, and kitchen appliances

    Electrical: Includes the repair, replacement, and installation of power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling fans and climate control systems

    General Carpentry: Includes assisting with the repairing of floors, roofs, and doors and installation of new products as needed.  This could include windows, carpets, light fixtures and drywall repairs

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • Certification from a technical/trade school a plus
    • 3 – 5 years related experience within a luxury hotel environment or facilities maintenance capacity
    • Skilled in the use of common workshop tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
    • Strong customer service skills

    Spa Therapist

    Must have a license to practice in the state of Utah prior to arrival. Seasonal position to October 31-Nov 30, 2017 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Must provide and maintain proper licensing and participate in any continuing education required but the State of Utah, county and/or any special training required to perform specific treatments or services such as Yoga, Reiki, Maturity (prenatal), Watsu, Hot Stone, etc. Become proficient in all required treatments and their protocols and products within a reasonable period relative to one’s initial date of hire. Must be aware of one’s schedule at all times and of any last minute changes Must obtain a supervisor’s approval before making any scheduling changes Adhere to all professional codes of ethics to include proper draping of clients at all times, always instilling a sense of safety and trust with all guests. Any misappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and most likely will result in immediate termination. Must be willing and available for on-call 7 days a week if necessary due to the seasonal/ short term nature of this resort Must have an understanding that, though there is no seniority at this time or priority ranking of therapists; that there is still NO promise of balanced bookings. The needs of the resort take precedents over any personal preferences or desired minimal income earning potential. Demonstrate knowledge of, adherence to, and enforcement of all company standards. Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by offering friendly attentive service to everyone which includes our internal (fellow staff members) guests as well.     All successful wrangler candidates should have proven horse skills with solid guest service experience as well. Knowledge and experience of western riding is a must. Must be safety conscious, have the ability to instruct guests and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for conducting safe trail rides and safety of staff and guests on horse back as well as in the barn area. Ideal candidate will posses extensive experience with horses and previous western riding experience Some veterinarian knowledge and previous experience teaching lessons, a plus. Must be willing to learn the local area and the other amenities offered by the resort. Job duties include but are not limited to; cleaning corral area, barn and maintenance of all tack and equipment, keeping files up to date, maintaining health and welfare of the herd and any other tasks as assigned.
