  • Front Desk Agent

    Moab

    With over 15 years in business, we are looking for entrepreneurial Front Desk/Guest Services Team Members to join us in enhancing our experiences for the 2024 Season. Candidate will be part of a team working together to reposition of our service, systems, and culture to help our guests discover the stunning landscapes and adventures of Southern Utah.

    Responsibilities:

    • To embody the Sorrel standard by exceeding guest expectations in all areas of service.
    • Support the Front Desk and Concierge Department by working to implement the itinerary for guest daily logistics.
    • Manage small and large details related to guest requests and communicate necessary follow-up with pertinent staff.
    • Work to further the Sorrel products and services by questioning operational norms, proposing solutions, and striving to innovate and streamline operations.
    • Work diligently to execute the Sorrel mission through supporting the Sorrel operations team and stepping up to complete any and all necessary tasks as needed.
    • Behave as a leader within the Sorrel hospitality team and encourage and support the team to deliver our products and services to the highest possible standard every day
    • Take incoming calls from potential guests inquiring on occupancy and availability. Ability to schedule guests and book their stays.   
    • Register and assign rooms to guests, issue room keys or cards, transmit and receive messages, keep records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, make and confirm reservations, and present statements to and collect payments from departing guests. Inform guests concerning services, events, and facilities available.
    • Complete and maintain open/closing checklist each day.
    • Embrace all Sorrel standards and values both within the workplace and in the community.
    • Thoroughly and professionally communicate with all team members.
    • Take direction from multiple managers and juggle multiple tasks at one time.
    • Safely transport Sorrel guests and luggage to their rooms and upon departures.
    • Learn to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Proactively communicate and help implement necessary changes and updates that need to be made to SOPs, daily duties, etc.

    Min Requirements:   

    • Three or more years’ experience in Front Desk Services, Concierge, or Bellman roles
    • Able to work well on a team with different personalities.
    • Sophisticated communication skills.
    • High ethical standards.
    • Experience resolving internal and external conflicts.
    • Strong administrative skills and computer skills
    • Ability to multi-task taking calls and entering information in computer as needed.
    • Flexible team player.

  • Front Desk Manager

    With over 15 years in business, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Front Desk/Rooms Leader to join us in enhancing our experiences for the 2024 Season. This leader will have the track record to assist in a reposition of our service, systems, and culture to help our guests discover the stunning landscapes and adventures of Southern Utah.

    Leading Candidates Will Have:

    Basic Requirements:

    • Supervise and assist team in all daily front desk activities
    • Display daily presence in desk and lobby as member of team
    • Well versed in a variety of hotel technology systems, such as Opera, Mews, Synxis, Toast POS
    • Compile and prepare financial reports, including rate and availability calendar. Understand Mews and Synxis.
    • Check and control room reservations, front office systems, and supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting and department budget to maximize revenue.
    • Conduct daily, weekly department meetings
    • Ability to work both independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Ability to plan, manage and complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

Candidates wills have the experience to help reposition our restaurants to highlight our on-property farm, animal program, and the variety of cultures found in Southern Utah's history.

    Leading Candidates Will Have:

    • Strong desire to kindly collaborate with our on-property farm and animal teams
    • elevated culinary experience
    • AAA or Forbes luxury service experience
    • Tenure in rural style resorts, ranches, or ski resorts

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     
    • Basic kitchen equipment operation: stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, fryers, steamers, kettles, etc.
    • Understanding of recipe measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience required in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
    • Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
    • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food preparation and cooking.

    • Strong ability to multitask, and detail-oriented. 
    • Must be able to complete 10-12 rooms per day.

    FINE DINING SERVER 

    Sorrel River Ranch is a Four Diamond luxury guest ranch located along the scenic Colorado River surrounded by 2,000-foot-high cliffs, buttes, and mesas. This exclusive 240-acre riverside oasis is 17 miles from Moab, 21 miles from Arches National Park and 43 miles from Canyonlands National Park.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    On-Property Housing Available for Non-Local Candidates

    • Candidate must have thorough knowledge of all menus, specials, wine lists, beers, and drinks.
    • Receive customers’ orders and relay them to the kitchen promptly and accurately.
    • Serve courses from the kitchen and service bars in a timely manner.
    • Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving when necessary.
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
    • May be serving food, hosting, or any other task that a Four Diamond resort needs done for the guest.

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • IT Technician

    Provide computer or network support with the goal to keep the technology of the Company in good working order and accessible to the teams and guests as appropriate. Work closely with the team to ensure each situation is thoroughly resolved. Assist with installation, troubleshooting and diagnosing possible hardware and software issues.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Answer IT-related questions in person and via phone on all company supported applications
    • Troubleshoot computer problems
    • Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.)
    • Advise the team on appropriate action
    • Work one-on-one with team or vendors on application projects
    • Provide recommendations on company and client application purchases
    • Document resolutions for future reference within FAQ documentation
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION/EXPERIEMCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associate/ bachelor’s degree, up-to-date certifications as pertinent preferred
    • Stay on top of current trends and technology as updates are released regularly for software, hardware and computer components
    • Operate a motor vehicle safely. Possess a valid driver’s license
    • Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports, records, correspondence, and other written materials.
    • Make clear and persuasive oral presentations.
    • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ABILITY TO:

Candidates will be part of a group working together to reposition our service, systems, and culture to help our guests discover the stunning landscapes and adventures of Southern Utah.

    Leading Candidates Will Have:

    • Previous experience as a dishwasher in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
    • Knowledge of proper dishwashing techniques and sanitation standards.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy kitchen equipment, as well as stand for extended periods.
    • A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
