We are located on a scenic byway. Hwy 128 is one of the only 27 scenic byways in the state. The 44 mile highway runs along the Colorado River with 2, 000-foot red rock cliffs rising on both sides.

About Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa

Sorrel River Ranch is a unique Resort and Spa located along the scenic Colorado River surrounded by 2,000 foot high cliffs, buttes and mesas. Only 17 miles from Moab, 43 miles to Canyonlands National Park and 21 miles to Arches National Park.

We offer starting dates beginning in Mid-March ending in November. We accept candidates that are available to work for varying lengths of time.

Room and Board

Employee Housing is available! Shared apartment style and dorm units. 2 and 5 bedroom units that are shared between 2 and 5 occupants depending on size. Each unit has a full kitchen & bathroom and living area. Washer and dryers are also available free of charge. Housing costs are $125 to 500 per month depending on unit. All utilities are included. Meals not included. Employee housing also includes an employee exercise room, employee lounge area-with pool table, tv, computer, and movies.  Employee BBQ area. Weekly transportation to Moab for employee supplies.

Getting Here and Getting Around

There is a taxi service in Moab,  however transportation to the ranch is very limited. We recommend you bring your own personal vehicle. If you fly into Grand Junction, or Moab we can schedule a pick up for you. Lots of people bring bikes and kayaks. We do offer weekly transportation to Moab for employee supplies.

The bartender/server position will be an expert in cocktail creation and wines. Must be consistent, have a serving permit for the state of Utah and be highly motivated to serve the very best to our upscale clients. Ideal applicant will have extensive experience in bar management including but not limited to inventory, stocking, cleaning, serving, creating specialty cocktails, wine paring and customer service. This position is full time permanent year round. DUTIES: Supervise all kitchen and dining room activities and ensure optimal quality of all production and coordinate with guests to maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction and analyze all customer requirements and provide efficient response. Collaborate with manager to review all employee performance and provide training to increase all performance and monitor all guest requests efficiently to achieve all customer objectives and maintain knowledge on all liquor regulations. Manage all storage supplies and assign staff in all requisition activities and evaluate all daily specials. Wrangler

All successful wrangler candidates should have proven horse skills with solid guest service experience as well. Knowledge and experience of western riding is a must. Must be safety conscious, have the ability to instruct guests and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for conducting safe trail rides and safety of staff and guests on horse back as well as in the barn area. Ideal candidate will posses extensive experience with horses and previous western riding experience Some veterinarian knowledge and previous experience teaching lessons, a plus.
