Snowpine Lodge is currently hiring for many positions across all departments for our 2021/2022 Winter Season. Winter season employment begins early to mid-November and lasts through April. We are also accepting applicants for some year-round positions, as well as summer/fall seasonal positions.  

  • Front Desk Agent

    Front Office

    The Front Desk Agent will organize, confirm, process, and conduct all guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations. Secure payment; verify and adjust billing. Activate and distribute room keys. Process all guest requests and relay messages. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and exceed all guest expectations.   

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • Prior cash handling experience necessary
    • Computer skills required

  • Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher

    The Steward is responsible for washing, and organizing china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots and pans per standards.  Other responsibilities include maintaining proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks and flatware along with emptying and washing garbage cans.  This position must maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.   

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
    • Able to handle high heat and moisture
    • Previous experience preferred

  • Bell Staff

    Bell Staff responsibilities will includes assisting guests with luggage, packages, and special requests.  Transport guests in hotel shuttle in a timely and safe manner where applicable.  Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate guests` service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; inform guests about hotel facility locations and hours of operations; thank guests with genuine appreciation.   

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • One year prior Guest Services/Bell experience preferred
    • Valid CDL license where applicable
    • Familiarity with local area and attractions

  • Engineer - Rooms/Building Maintenance

    A Rooms/Building Maintenance Engineer will perform work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and hotel structure operational and in good repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; minor plumbing, drywall and vinyl repair and installation, floor repairs and other general maintenance duties.   

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • Experience of 2-5 years preferred in commercial or institutional maintenance environment. 
    • HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills. 
    • Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper. 
    • Certification in pool operation preferred. 
    • Meet minimum age requirements of jurisdiction. 
    • Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members. 
    • Valid driver’s license preferred. 
    • Preventive maintenance background preferred. 
    • Read, write and understand English.

  • Housekeeping Supervisor

    The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager with managing the daily housekeeping operations of the Snowpine Lodge. They will ensure that the housekeeping staff maintains high standards of cleanliness and availability in both guest rooms and public areas. The housekeeping supervisor will monitor and develop staff through performance observations, evaluations, and counseling. They will hire and plan staffing schedules for employees. Housekeeping supervisor will often assist housekeeping team with their duties, when business demands dictate. This can be a seasonal or year-round position for the right candidate.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs room assignments and inspects work of Housekeepers and Houseman. Ensures quality assurance process is met, resulting in appropriate cleanliness and quality levels; supports safety standards procedures.
    • Maintain positive customer and associate relationships: Support housekeeping and hotel leaders in an effort to ensure proper staffing and scheduling for maximum productivity; assist in controlling payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability; communicate priorities to staff through daily and weekly meetings.
    • Administrative duties: Responsible to communicate inventory and purchasing needs to the Facilities Manager.
    • Maintain cleanliness standards: Participate in daily operations including cleaning and inspecting of rooms, common areas, and back of house areas to maintain standards.
    • Reporting problems: Identifies and reports maintenance related problems.
    • Various other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager or other members of the Hotel Management Team.


    Prerequisites

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required associate’s degree preferred.
    • 3 years of housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred 
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Good analytical/critical thinking
    • Willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
  • Night Auditor

    The Night Auditor position verifies and balances entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day.
     
    Duties will include:
    Follow proper audit procedures to balance the hotel's daily revenue and expense transactions.
    Identify the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner.
    Produce various reports for management.
    Take initiative to correct errors to prevent re-occurrence.
    Follow the hotel's recommended guest arrival and departure procedures.
    Answer guests' questions about the hotel services and amenities.

    Qualifications:

  • Reservations Agent

    Reservations

    The Reservations Agent takes and confirms reservations for guests.  Determines space availability and control space and ensure utilization of available guestrooms.  Reservation clerk will check expected arrivals for three days out for any duplicate reservations, maintain files for all definite arrivals, assist in the billing of no-show reservations. Block reservations for suites to accommodate special requests, coordinate group room blocks with Sales department. Post advance deposits to correct accounts, review hotel information and availability, run confirmations and mail as assigned. Assist Director, Revenue Management with all tentative and definite paperwork for groups. Assist the Front Office with pre-registration of V.I.P.’s and local Preferred accounts.

  • Line Cook

    Culinary

    $16.00 / hour

    The Line Cook will prepare and cook food in a according to menu for hotel outlets, i.e., room service, restaurants, bar, banquets, etc. Duties include :     

    • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils 
    • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
    • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
    • Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
    • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles
    • Pre-cook items such as bacon, in order to prepare them for later use
    • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
    • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
    • Clean, stock, and restock workstations

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    • Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably high volume

  • Restaurant Supervisor

    The Restaurant Supervisor assists the Restaurant Manager with training and development of staff.  Performs duties of all positions within the department including serving, bartending, bussing, greeting, expediting.  Resolves Team Member and guest-related situations.  Acts as a Restaurant Manager when required.  Experience in hosting, serving and cashiering is preferred.  Must possess working knowledge of computer terminal and cash register operations.
     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1-2 year’s prior supervisory experience, prior hotel F&B restaurant experience or related education strongly preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers & Team Members.
    • Excellent problem solving skills & ability to multi-task
    • Prior cash handling & experience with MICROS POS system
    • TIPS, CPR & Serve Safe certification preferred
    • Able to work AM and PM Shifts; including weekends & holidays

  • Restaurant Server

    A Server greets and takes food and drink orders from restaurant guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests. Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the restaurant at all times. Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed. Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed.     ***Breakfast servers can work morning shifts and ski the rest of the day!***

    A Breakfast Server primarly works breakfast shifts at Swen's, occasionally staying to help through lunch. A typical shift is 6AM-10AM for breakfast. The server greets and takes food and drink orders from restaurant guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests. Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the restaurant at all times. Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed. Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed. Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.

  • Banquet Server

    The Banquet Server position takes food and drink orders from banquet patrons.  This position serves guests food and drink over multiple courses, requires excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude. Most shifts take place on weekend evenings, so availability then is required. This position is part-time, on call and would not be eligible for housing, unless also working in the restaurant on property or in another position at the resort full-time.

    The AM Line Cook prepares and cooks food in accordance with established procedures, sanitary regulations, and recipe standards. This position may also assist in setting up tray line, distributing food to various areas and disassembling serving line; maintains the cleanliness of work areas and all articles used. Typical shifts for this position are 10am-6pm or 9am-5pm. Weekend availability required. Duties include:     

    • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils 
    • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
    • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
    • Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
    • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles
    • Pre-cook items such as bacon, in order to prepare them for later use
    • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
    • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
    • Clean, stock, and restock workstations
