We are a successful hospitality Concessionaire operating in more than 20 locations throughout the U.S. (including Hawaii), and are seeking an experienced, full-time, Seasonal, Human Resources professional for our Snow Mountain operation in Lassen Volcanic National Park, who can: 

• Effectively recruit, hire and on-board line level and management employees according to staffing guidelines
• Adeptly handle the ATS and HRIS functions in Paycor
• Represent the company's healthcare offering and encourage participation at all levels
• Respond to unemployment claims in a timely manner
• Communicate professionally with a diverse employee population and encourage teamwork at all levels
• Relocate to Chester, CA for the season and occupy single-employee duplex housing (which is offered at no charge)
• Appreciate working in one of the country's most beautiful National Parks, Lassen Volcanic in Northern California.
• Be a team player and positive resource for employee problem resolution
• Assist with employee activities programs and assist the GM with housing management
• Stay calm under pressure and handle stressful situations
• Operate with attention to detail and organization.

The Seasonal HR Specialist will be expected to:

• Be available during peak season (mid-March through mid-October) with no vacation breaks
• Be willing to work holidays & weekends, when requested, during peak season
• Possess at least 3 years of HR generalist/specialist experience
• Be an effective recruiter with a history of attending job fairs and comfortable in a marketing role
• Able to multi-task and stay focused under pressure
• Adept at handling the payroll function and benefits
• Possess a general understanding of California labor laws
• Staff the business according to guidelines and work closely with the GM to adhere to labor budgets

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Chester, CA 96020: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
• Must be able to spend 2 days per week at our Manzanita Location 

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
• Human resources: 3 years (Preferred)
• Recruiting: 2 years (Preferred)
• Employee relations: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location: Multiple Locations - This position will work 3 days a week in Chester, CA and 2 days a week at Manzanita
