We have two stores with openings from April 15th to October 15th and are seeking RETAIL ASSOCIATES to join our team.
Our store in Downtown Sitka is located on Lincoln Street the main shopping area of town. Our Dock store is located in the terminal building at the deepwater dock where the cruise ships tie-up. Both stores are very busy throughout the summer and dependable attendance is required.
We are looking to hire individuals who enjoy meeting people from all over the world and who can understand the importance of these visitors in our store. Sales associates will be expected to converse easily with customers, provide information on products, and the surrounding region. Applicants must have attention to detail and be able to adjust quickly to any number of customers in the store on any given day. No prior experience is required; however, pay is based on experience.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Learning about diverse products, and provide accurate information, building customer rapport and promoting products through to a successful point of sale.
Collect payment and return change from Sitka visitors and residents, accurately and professionally counting back change resulting in customer confidence and a balanced till.
Stock and clean store, including pricing merchandise with great attention to detail.
Be aware of customers and their actions to protect store inventory.
Employees will be expected to work 40 hours per week. Five days on and two days to explore the surrounding area. Days off are not guaranteed to be consecutive.
