Shadowcliff's Kitchen Manager/Cook guides the operations of Shadowcliff’s Compassionate Kitchen in a manner consistent with our principles of hospitality and sustainability. This position oversees the meals for retreats and gatherings of varying size and duration as well as special events throughout the season. The Kitchen Manager/Cook plans and prepares meals for groups as well as for staff, supervising lead kitchen assistants, rotating hospitality assistants, and volunteers in meal preparation, service, and clean-up.

The Kitchen Manager/Cook receives a seasonal stipend of $9,000-$10,000 (depending on start date), a private, furnished room (shared bathrooms) in the main lodge (all utilities included), a share of tips, and meals/food. This position is needed from mid-May through the end of September.
