Sequoia Parks Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the natural beauty of Sequoia National Park. We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Field Institute Manager to oversee our programs, manage staff, and ensure exceptional visitor experiences within the parks.

Primary Responsibilities of the Position:
Manage daily operations on-site at the Crystal Cave (May-Nov) and remotely for Pear Lake Winter Hut (Dec-Apr)
Develop and deliver high-quality interpretive programs on diverse topics related to the natural and cultural history of the parks and surrounding areas.
Hire, train, and supervise staff, including naturalists, guides, and hut keepers.
Schedule staff and programs, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various park partners.
Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors, answering questions and addressing their needs.
Qualifications:
Strong supervisory and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience in teaching, conducting tours, or resource interpretation.
Proficiency in tools and software to support staff scheduling, inventory, reservations, and using various software programs (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and thrive in a physically demanding environment.
Valid driver's license and be able to pass a background and DMV check.
Commitment to safety and a willingness to comply with all park regulations and safety protocols.
First aid, CPR, and AED certifications are required.
Location:
Ash Mountain or Lodgepole in Sequoia National Park. Peak Season park housing may be available, but may not be available year-round.
