River Runners is hiring for various positions for the 2019 summer season.

  • Raft Guide Trainee

    Buena Vista, Colorado and Royal Gorge/ Canon City, Colorado

    Do you want to become a Colorado raft guide, but have no previous experience? Apply to the River Runners raft guide training program. Our training program begins May 20th, 2019 and costs $500. CPR/First Aid certification is required before beginning training, on-line certifications are not accepted. Our program includes two weeks of formal training. During this time, trainees are provided wetsuits, splash tops, booties, and personal flotation devices. Participants must provide their own personal gear upon completion of formal training, and will be expected to log additional training miles throughout the season. Camping is available, but meals are not included.

  • Experienced Raft Guide

    Buena Vista, Colorado and Royal Gorge/ Canon City, Colorado

    River Runners is currently hiring experienced guides. Experienced raft guides from other rivers must complete training and qualification runs with a River Runners instructor. Please provide river logs and any certifications you have when applying.

  • Professional Drivers

    Buena Vista, Colorado and Royal Gorge/ Canon City, Colorado

    River Runners is seeking seasonal drivers to work in Buena Vista and Canon City during the 2019 summer rafting season. Qualified applicants must have a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), squeaky-clean driving record and a positive attitude. You must be friendly, flexible and dependable. Weekday and weekend shifts are available. Additional duties include cleaning vehicles and daily inspections. Interviews will be conducted in April and May.  Mandatory drug and alcohol screening will be implemented upon hire and all drivers are entered into a random drug and alcohol testing program per Department of Transportaion drug and alcohol policy.

  • Bartender/Cashier

    Buena Vista, Colorado

    Duties of the bartender include cash handling, relaying food orders to kitchen staff, food handling, delivering food to guests, serving drinks and maintaining a clean working environment. As with all restaurant work, you must be able to handle pressure and have great customer service skills. Previous restaurant work is preferred.

  • Outdoor Grill Cook

    Buena Vista, Colorado

    Duties of the grill cook include food preparation, working with hot grills, propane management, delivering food to guests and maintaining a clean working environment. You must be dependable, able to multi-task and have great customer service skills. Previous food handling experience is preferred, but we will train the right applicant.
