Job Description:

As the Retail Supervisor your main goal is to manage a team of employees by providing constant feedback and communicating the company’s goal. Supervise the operation of Gift Shop; meets, greets, and assists public in selecting gifts and other merchandise; supervises staff also engaged in service to the public, selling, and assisting buyers

Responsibilities:

• Managing the workflow of your employees. Adhere to and enforcing attendance and scheduling policies, delegating tasks assigned to you by your department manager
• Complete daily opening and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Work as a team member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value to each customer.
• Coordinate with management for on-the-job training of new associates. Train all new hires
• Operate cash register and void transactions as needed while following company cash handling policies and procedures.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work.
• Implement product rotation based on product code dates in warehouse.
• Resolve customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind.
• Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies food standards.
• Greet customers, initiate, and complete customer transactions quickly and accurately.
• Prepare products quickly and accurately, while following all preparation, health and safety standards and guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management staff.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory report
• Conducts cashiering and receipting the sale of merchandise by cash and charge transactions and performs such duties as required; maintains sales records through the Point-of-Sale (POS) software and sets profit margins to price items for sale
• Performs related work as required

Physical Demands

• Standing a minimum of 8 hours per day
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift 50 pounds
• Must be physically able to lift heavy boxes, climb stairs, and unpack merchandise

Qualifications:

• Good verbal skills to communicate with guests, staff, and management.
• Physically able to perform lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Previous experience in food service is preferred.
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Works with a sense of urgency to match the business needs
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred but not necessary
• Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
• Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
• Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
