Red Lodge Mountain is looking for a dependable and energetic Food & Beverage Lead to help oversee our Main Lodge dining operation. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting employees, serving guests, solving problems, and jumping in wherever needed.

You will help guide the daily operation while creating a welcoming experience for guests and a positive, respectful workplace for the team. If you can keep your cool during a busy lunch rush, motivate the people around you, and enjoy working in a one-of-a-kind mountain setting, we would love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

  • Help oversee the daily operations of the Main Lodge food and beverage facilities.

  • Lead, support, and supervise Main Lodge employees during assigned shifts.

  • Deliver friendly, efficient, and high-quality service to guests and coworkers.

  • Help create a positive team environment built on communication, accountability, and mutual respect.

  • Assist with employee scheduling, staffing, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.

  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions to employees.

  • Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns in accordance with Red Lodge Mountain policies.

  • Help resolve employee concerns and maintain a cooperative work environment.

  • Maintain food, beverage, supply, and operating inventories.

  • Coordinate stocking and ensure the team has the supplies needed for daily operations.

  • Assist with menu planning and operational preparation.

  • Use the resort’s point-of-sale and computer systems accurately and efficiently.

  • Review operational procedures and recommend improvements.

  • Step into frontline duties and assist the team during busy periods.

  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager and other departments to support mountain operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a food and beverage operation.

  • Resort, ski area, hospitality, restaurant, or high-volume food service experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead employees and maintain excellent guest service during busy or challenging conditions.

  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and professionally.

  • Sound judgment and an understanding of how daily decisions affect the larger operation.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and use resort point-of-sale systems, including RTP.

  • A professional, calm, and approachable demeanor.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and other shifts based on business needs.
